WARNING : MISSION TRAILER

just straight facts. if u want more detail feel free to PM me

Brand new Mission All Sport MCH 8.5 X 22 heated and 'INSULATED" purchased from local dealer July 23 2018

wanted to add some things as i plan on staying overnight with it, purchased matching LED lights among lots more stuff to have more light inside. September 9 i took off trim inside finishing the corners from the walls to the roof. Only driver side trim was removed.

Immediate noticed FULL SECTIONS OF INSULATION MISSING FROM INSIDE WALLS ??????

proof is in the pictures.
FRONT V NOSE SECTION NOT INSULATED
TOP SECTION ABOVE MAN DOOR NOT INSULATED
FRONT SECTION ON DRIVER SIDE, TOP FOOT OF INSULATION PANEL MISSING
FRONT SIDE OF MAN DOOR, FULL SECTION MISSING
LAST FULL SECTION OF DRIVER SIDE INSULATION MISSING
ROOF- SECTION ABOVE REAR DOOR SPRING MISSING
ROOF - SECTION IN FRONT OF REAR DOOR SPRING MISSING

called dealer and ALCOM, after a week was eventually told it will be covered under warranty. i live also 3 hours away from dealer, all transportation for warranty repair falls on consumer ever after they build a top line trailer like crap putting up walls without insulation. neither dealer nor alcom was willing to help with cost to transport trailer almost 3 hours to get it fixed like it was supposed to.

picked up trailer Thursday September 11 2018, was told everyone was gone to sled show and i had to hook up trailer myself. that's perfectly fine, but when i arrived there was approximately 8 lazy sales guys sitting at their desk not one came outside to offer to help, my sales guy was one of them

drove unit home that night, next day had to drive with it as raining hard for maybe an hour. pulled it onto RV pad to park it to Finally work on it.

ROOF IS NOW LEAKING IN 3 SPOTS ON PASSENGER SIDE.

called again and was told to bring it in again, another 6 hours of driving form them gooping on 15 $ of sealant.

choosing to hopefully never have to deal with dealer or ALCOM ever again

i think i got the lemon so u guys might be ok

FYI not to many people go buy a 30K trailer and rip it apart to customize it to stay in. Who would have know the quality of ALCOM and the **** they put out the factory, how stupid do u have to be to put up the wall panel when there are full sections of insulation missing. was also informed as my assumptions were correct that the passenger side that i did not touch also had missing full panels

YES I AM PISSED, NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT QUALITY OR SERVICE, PLEASE SHARE THIS FOR INFORMATION TO AVOID PURCHASING POOR QUALITY

that sucks spending that kinda coin on something new to get quality like that. it seems to be getting more and more where workmanship and quality control does not exist. i understand the point of you having to transport unit back to them for warranty work but imo they could of done some compansation even if they did it with extras for trailers with shelves, lights, racks, etc. especially after realizing you had to take the unit back the next day. as for nobody helping with trailer hook up when picking up unit that is just pure lazy people who work there especially your salesmen. what ever happened to customer service when you went to pick up your unit. do people not have pride in there work anymore? i hardly ever purchase items like this new for it seems so hit and miss to get something that had quality control ,think if you never took yours apart it would of never gotten corrected and dealers would never know and things would never change, hopefully dealer takes this as a learning experience and maybe they start checking things closer themselves

Sorry about your luck, that’s a real crappy deal. Run it up the ladder until you get someone’s attention. Emails are easy enough to print and drop in the mail and send as well, if that fails send a registered letter that you will be taking out an ad in the newspaper..hope they look after you.

Seems there’s more than 1 brand that way
Had a Royal lowboy and it was ate out by wheels in 1.5 year. And my stuff is washed after each trip very fussy. Got the run around from dealer I bought from and jack squat from Royal. They paid for the checker plate alum to patch it so it looked fixed. Cost me a grand tried trading on a Alcom but what they offered was insulting- comment about it looking fixed to cover a accident or something.
The missions I looked at just didn’t have the fit and finish. Even the higher end one the panels just weren’t quite right. Kinda puffy and the sales people thought it was king turd and nothing compares. The guy in Edmonton was the worst when I called about buying cash. Ended up telling him to F off with his attitude and went and got a loaded triton for very good deal.

This is typical these days. I have a friend that has a new royal cargo XR from flaman trailers. I took it apart to put better lighting in it and when i did i realized how CHEAP they build these things. and it was like 24k for a 22 footer

Stories like this make me feel better I spent the money on featherlite, I think their quality dropped too after they sold out but I was lucky enough to get a good one.

Sorry to hear and see the crap you ended up with, I have had 2 missions and my walls don’t look like yours and I was expected to see poor insulation. My fit and finish is a 7 out of 10 and content with that, looked at much more expensive trailers and they are maybe an 8 out of 10, looked at cheaper trailers and haven’t seen anything comparable. In the end tough to buy real quality

Had a simular problem with south side Martin Farm new 2015 xm snow checked set the suspention and went up made it to 6 km mark stopped rolled back a foot and blew the back spring off on one side the springs were put on upside down. Went down the hill had the rental shop fix it and went back up, told the dealer and their comment was did you take a picture I just went their to tell them their mechanics should keep a eye on this, they said it wasn't their fault. I also installed my own scratchers and they said they were installed properly but they damaged my rails. All they did is slide it off on their supplier instead of covering what they sell. Plus what is funny we met some other sledders on the highway waiting for avalanche control and got talking, it turned out this guy had a new 2016 xm from the same dealer and the spring were also put on upside down. So it just didn't happen just once we were luck so this group didn't have the same problem as I did.
