Yeah that's what I was a afraid of. Probably not good to breat it again with that rod in there. Never really thought about it before. That thing looks hardcore....
I asked them if they would remove mine and they said unless it bothers you there's no point. Said they could always take it out if it starts to bother you.

I was more thinking about what would happen if you were to break your leg again badly. When I broke my femur I snapped it right in half and you could have put my foot in my lap. It was fuct.. I cant see a big metal rod in there making the situation any better,,, know what I'm sayin?

My doctor said the knee or the hip will take the brunt of it if you are still pinned.

Yea I did the same thing, i asked my doctor about it and basically he said it's just a gamble. He said it could be worse with it in if you broke it again or it could make no difference or it could help it not break again. That's why he told me just to go by if its bugging me or not.

After having my ear cut off to re-break my jaw and replace the disk/ligament with a piece of fat from my belly button. Moral of the story is go to the doctor when you hit the ground hard enough to break a chin bar off your helmet, instead of waiting 7 months until it no longer functions or lines up.

Sadly doc refused to take pics of my ear folded open. Such a buzzkill.

Yuck. I’ve got a hardware store in an ankle but props to you guys!

Do most people just leave it all in unless it bothers them? I have extra bone growth around the repairs that make fitting skates or ski boots ect tough. Doctor says that could be shaved and hardware removed but I don’t like going under! Or blood and guts that much.

He was riding on the river and got sacred of a piece of open water so he pinned it but failed to notice the bank on the other side, cleared the bars completely
