Not Suprised that vendor attendance is down. The cost of going, time spent b4 hand packing, tagging etc then the show itself Booth space is pricey, then add on $100 for power, close to $200 per computer internet connection $100 parking pass for weekend per vehicle.
Have to sell a lot of discounted items to cover the expense
Farther ahead to do a open house with 20-25% off and give the people who come into your store a deal. Some who are likely regular customers
Just my opinion

It is even pricey for the consumer to come to show passes and parking then you have to carry all the deals a mile back to vehicle

Then on the expense of paying for everything they now charge for the use of their forklift
If I still was in the dealership ownership business I doubt I would go into these type of shows to be honest. The cost of the booths, rug for your booth, hanging your sign, internet service, etc is ridiculous. The ones that make money at those shows is the venue. Everyone else loses money. You have to sell-give a lot of stuff away to break even. Better to do a blowout sale at your own store IMO.

those high costs only go so far....and once the anchor tenants (Cat, Polaris, Yamaha and Doo dealers) pull out, the show will die...

Same thing happened in the Ag Biz with the Northland's Farm & Ranch Show that was held every spring....costs got to be so high that the Deere, CIH, NH and Caterpiller dealers pulled out....the show died a miserable death within a couple of years.

Yes, its great advertising to be at a venue where thousands see your product or idea but it has to be a win-win for both the buyer and seller....and that seller includes the owner of the venue as well as the business peddling product.

I was looking for a helmet and in particular the CKX Titan. They had a bunch of them at the Kimpex booth. Asked how much, and the salesman said, "We don't sell them here. You have to go to a dealer." Found Riverside had some for $599 including the cheap googles. I don't think so. When I bought my first one for $269 including goggles. Got home and looked at Kimpex on-line; $329 and free shipping. Go figure.

Check with Steve Doug. I believe we can get them. I am thinking of one as well. Can eat garlic shrimp without taking helmet off. Lol

Anyone pick up a sled'N'snap calendar?
I forgot to get one.

If someone did could they send me June's picture? I was told it was one submitted by the group I ride with. Curious to see which one. As we submitted a few.

Thanks

First time at the show i Thought it was great. Nice to see all the new expensive iron. And put a face to some of the aftermarket suppliers. Bought a t shirt and met a few snow and mudders.
