The south store is still open for the guy above who was thinking about calling to check on 18 holdovers. Its under different ownership from the guy most peeps had complaints about in the past. That being said, they have treated me well for many years. They have some very good people, all the south store staff I've dealt with over the years and Mike (DSG from the north store) if you are looking for sales.

Well I gotta give a shout out to the south store. As I bought a spyder out east and had out of province inspection done and had a bad shock in rear, so bow south said it's warranty and went to Airdrie pick it up and fixed it and delivered back to other shop to pass inspection and at no charge. So they help me out big time while I was in bc working all over the phone. I will stop in there for sure and thank them.

Where would you like me to start, I know first hand 90% of the story

This would add no value other than to cause peeps not to shop there and that would be a disservice to the new owner. A lot of people wouldn't differentiate between the two owners. Look how many guys can't figure out that BRP and Bombardier are different companies... and thats been explained about a trillion times on here.

Well, owner of mountain park motorsports bought bow cycle with a verbal deal with brp

Didn't get dealer in sicamous as per what brp said, after going all out to get bow cycle

Closed mountain park motorsports

Still fawked, after a bit, closed north store (which is retarded in my mind, should have been south store)

MORAL OF THE STORY IS WHEN YOU GO TOOOOOOOO BIG TOOOOOOO FAST, YOU GET FAWKED IN THE GOAT AZZ

Recreational motorsports would be a tough gig IMO. I’m told there is next to no money (or very little) made on the sale of new units. Anyone who tries to trade something in thinks it’s worth top dollar. Only place I can see where there’s money of any sort would be parts and service. Tough gig for those brave enough to take the challenge. Sure would love to see Mountainpark open back up tho. Sicamous is a marvellous destination and that place was awesome before shutting down. Only 12 more Friday’s until sled season...

Cousin's friend worked at a local BRP shop, not that BRP is special but I will definatly call bull on that one also.
Actually a pretty hefty markup on all toys between manufacturer and shop sale price.
There is also big overhead to keep a fancy shop open, sales commission.
Big $ business coming in and going out.

Don't think any books will be exposed soon to confirm.

Ill go against ya that one, typically low profit margins on units, also not un common to pay intrest on units after a year really hacks up your profit, some manufacters do they buy more better deal program (lower intrest rate, better dealer cost) which is hard on the smaller dealers. Shop, parts and accessories are the money maker, but In todays market even with that some very established dealers are having a hard time. Also as you mentioned the overhead, just think of what a large dealers 509, Snowpulse and KLIM or Motorfist booking order is worth, a BRP fall 850 belt order! or their spring ATV Tire order. Even with their cost at 25-40% less then you pay over the counter.

was that gross or net? after all expenses paid?

sell $450000.00 of product and service at a cost of $300k, leaves you 50k a month to pay staff, pay the mortgage, power.
we also deal with some high and low season here no different then sica would.
