I didnt think of that. I am going to do that with the Tire Rack. I will fabricate something up and take pics. Thats exactly what I'm looking for, folding, carrys alot of weight, and folds up and stores away with minimal room!!

All of my job trailers get spray foamed before anything else. Pull all the plywood and they spray 1” thick and around the roof. Put the plywood back on and paint the roof white. If you heat a trailer with no insulation they sweat so bad. Even pulling sleds in with the heater going and a couple roof vents open everything will be dry in the morning as long as it’s insulated. Costs around 700$ to do the walls and roof on a 8’6” by 16’ and another 400$ to do the floor underneath and coated. Best money you can spend by far. I get about 3 weeks on 2 30# tanks running 24hrs in real winter conditions. That’s also in and out several times a day. Eagle industries in Vernon also makes all my aluminum shelving and odds and ends for storage. Real nice professional work and best value around. Cheaper to haul trailers there from Alberta to get work done. Your trailer is looking real good also!!

Team dirt, who did you get to do the foam insulation? Also, did you put in vapor barrier before spray foam? What product? Just starting 23' Chamac project. Was thinking Styrofoam insulation sheets, but foam spray would likely be better insulation value.
I would think 1” styrofoam sm sheets would be the better choice. If you ever have to replace a outside panel that is damaged the spray foam would be a nightmare. If you cut the styrofoam in a tablesaw you can get a perfect seal. Save yourself some money while your at it.

Fairfield foams in brooks. I’m sure any oilfield town has a couple framers around these days. Spray foam is nice cause you won’t get a better seal. Those foam sheets are expensive. Probably 25$ for 2’x8’and only get r5 from 1”. 1”spray foam is around r10 and they can spray underneath also.

Thanks for feedback. I can see advantages/disadvantages to both. Any advice on putting vapor barrier over insulation before re-installing inside wall panels? Also, product options anyone has use beside just plastic? Thanks.

So I decided to go with the 1" rigid insulation.. I know its o ly r5 value, but there was a great deal and I couldn't turn it down.. got 20sheets for $100.00, so that should do all of the walls. Under I will be spray foaming.. I also got a folding tire rack, and this week I will install that as well.. guys have some great ideas on here. My brother also schooled me on led lighting, what to look for , what are good, what are bad, so i will be doing some more lights. I'm starting to get some time to do this, so I will update with some pictures this week.

Where were those sheets on sale? What will you put in for vapour barrier between sheets and inside wall? I'm in the Camrose area. Still deciding on foam versus sheets. I like the foam as they say it acts as air barrier/vapour barrier and insulation obviously. Calling Brooks today to check $$. Their website says they can spray on a layer of MIL Poly so foam does not stick to metal and can be easily removed.

Got done alot this weekend.. sanded and redid the floor, used box liner, went and got ahold of Superclamp, they are amazing and are Canadian company.. so I'll give my money to them.. they were awesome, based in Calgary
I wasnt going to do so much, with the edge trim, but after playing around I really liked the way it looked and finished.. stiff goes in easy, usual measure twice cut once... I also go the traction grid, I am hoping that this will keep the track off the trailer floor.
I am still wondering how I am going to mount my rear superclamps, with the slope of the back of the trailer.
I am getting excited the snow is coming, I also installed the fold down bench with tire rack, what an awesome idea and works great! I will get some pics of that later.

So I've completed the floor and started some lighting, I'm super happy with how it's coming. I'm really enjoying this build!
Have a few things left but mostly just cosmetic and lipstick. Stereo and speakers and a helmet shelf.
Hope this helps someone out on some ideas on a cheaper build.
PS I cant get over how well the tire rack works fir a fold down seat!!

They are light strips from amazon. I went with cool white as I didn't like the natural or bright... its an odd color, I really like this and it is actually quite a lot brighter inside then even the pictures show...
If you want I can PM you the actual lights from amazon.
I also bought 4 tilting led cool white lights from princess auto that I put under the cabinets and will be under the front door lip, above the bench.
Nothing worse then a dark trailer.

Update....
So I finished the interior lighting with under cabinet and a line down the middle, it's actually very bright fully closed. I also added "caliber edge guards" at the back door, thos should help with any carbide or runner issies with the back door.
Need to get the sleds in so I can mount the rear superclamps, and line everything up.
Also installed a 3000watt inverter, for morning coffees (Keurig) getting ready. I still need to paint the fold down bench, and install propane tanks and cover in the front. I installed a dual tank holder, just need to complete. As well I need to silicone the floor edges at bottom to keep any water out of the walls and under trim.
Think I'm going to get a helmet holder as well. There is one by DSW out of red deer I think would be best choice.

They are canadian, are made in Canada, located in Calgary Alberta!!! These guys support sledders!

No, those are caliber guides. I got off amazon. Talked to Randall about them but he says it's such a small market for something like this that it doesn't make since for them to produce.
Most trailers have a flip down piece.. mine doesnt and I noticed we used it once last year in low snow the carbide left a mark in door edge.. so I wanted to protect them.. these flip over and door closes normally when not in use...
