It is damn sparse out there for troubleshooting a trailer. Its a 2015 tandem axle with trailer brakes to both axles. Only front left tire brakes with truck. None of these others work even with gain and sensitivity at full on. So we know im getting power from the truck to the back. Connectors like new and not corroded with dielectric grease to help. Now I pull the brake-away switch and I can get 3 of 4 wheels to grab. Plug key back in and now Im down to only one tire braking on each side. I looked in behind and all four have the like new 3/16" of brake pad left.

Ideas? How can I go from 3 of 4 working to only 2 of 4?
Magnets siezed? Other ideas? TIA

Pull the drums off and inspect the brakes. My guess is she's rusted up pretty good inside and seized up. how long has the trailer been sitting for since last used?
I use to have an older enclosed royal. Had to repair broken wires going into 3 of the 4 drums, and every fall after the first season used, I had to pull the brakes apart and clean everything up because the seized from sitting through the summer.

if you pull the breakaway and the brakes work the power coming from the vehicle is not working work on trailer brakes every day and most problems start at the plug broken ground wires are the norm take a 12 volt battery and 2 wires and test at the plug ground the plug to battery and then test the rest LT,RT,TRIM,AND BRAKES
