It's almost here. The electric snowmobile.

500 lbs. Looks like there is a 156" 3" track for mountain. Wonder how long the battery lasts in deep powder. My favourite thing about this is "
no CVT, no fuel, no oil. A zero maintenance powertrain with instant torque and silky smooth".

184 ft/lbs torque is no slouch.

Under 500lbs ride weight is really good.

100km range is ok. I wonder under how much load, if 100% that is really good

15000 US, not so good. Be around 19500 can once landed at a dealer here.

Could be a sled bum’s dream sled. Your cost/day should be really low. Put on 80 km a day without worrying about a dead battery. Says it’s good for over 100 km. The power should be so efficient with no belts or chaincase.

Hopefully the belt is easy to get at so you can tow it out when your battery is dead.

there is still a belt to drive the track but shouldn't cause any heat problems like some sleds lol

Looks interesting, definitely has been modeled after the G4, or at least the plastics are. I wonder how they plan to combat Lithium ion batteries worst enemy aka cold temps. Although an 80% charge in 20 mins is pretty cool and a full charge in 2 hours. It just requires a 240v plug. Which almost no hotels have readily available. Buy a genset and a sled combo deal?? 100km range, is that gentle Ontario trail riding or is that WOT over the hood blower pow?

The price range isn’t too far off of what your new 850/800 snow check is either. Innovation is nifty. We live in exciting times to be riding sleds IMO.

No...I think we have to wait for the electric hover-sled...er...bike or whatever.

Then we can shred in all the parks and caribou closures right

I don't foresee these hitting the mountain in mass numbers anytime soon. I'm pretty sure the cold and heavy flipper days will make short work of the battery to the point where it would only be good for a trail ride to the cabin and back.

Too much extra curricular outside of that is likely to result in a trip down to pick up the generator lol.

LBZ I think you are correct, but if battery technology takes off more in the next 5 years like it has the last 5, these things could be contenders. The Huge torque and track speed is exciting!!

If these E sleds become popular with the public via this company, I wonder how long it will take the big four to get in the game with their own versions. I'm sure they have been working on them. Proper timing into the market is key.
