Looks like Cat will dominate with the most powerful engine by far and now the best boondocking capability's, gonna make Ski Doo lovers have nightmares!!!!

I like the monorail idea. Will carry less snow and I bet it will be more resistant to bending. My only question as others have mentioned is how well the track is going to work. Will be interesting to get the results next season.

Kind of lost in the single rail hype is that they finally redid the handlebar controls, have a new brake system with shorter lever and are putting a standard tether on almost all their sleds, not as sexy, but nice to see they are taking care of the small things too.

Not a lot of talk on the 10” rear wheels and the 7 tooth 3.5” pitch drivers. The 7 tooth is actually larger diameter than 8 tooth. Rolling resistance in this skid is going to be unreal.

And you should be able to run the track fairly loose with 7 tooth drivers to help put power to ground with less rolling resistance again.
Hope the design works, has a lot of pluses beside just the light weight.

To me being able to run a loose track does more to lessen rolling resistance, try rolling a tight track then roll a track with a large enough driver to have some sag above the idler going into the tunnel.
Huge difference.
Smaller driver like a 6 tooth will ratchet before you get track remotely loose.

Looks like a winner... Can't wait to try one out. Probably will have a demo on the chatter trip this year.

Good thing they finally, finally have a factory tether... Man, I am so shocked that this took so long.

that rear rail will be stronger than 2 small rails. I am sure the track has to be a little tighter, just because of that twisting track could pop off the rails. What's with the 3.5" Pitch? I thought that was a gimmick??LOL

For all the guys who think the t-motion is squirrely, I guess riding a bicycle is hard for you also... and that really affected the sale of BRP also...:rolleyes:

To me being able to run a loose track does more to lessen rolling resistance, try rolling a tight track then roll a track with a large enough driver to have some sag above the idler going into the tunnel.
Huge difference.

The track balloons in front of the skid, thus making the AOA worse.

That's exactly correct, running a track too loose will cause a wave effect under the tunnel and actually rob track hp. This is amplified in deep snow as the track will try to buckle on it self in front of the drivers.
Yes it is also true that running a overly tight track will also rob track hp.
Generally when setting a track you need about 2inch clearance at the rear scissor with about 20lbs pull on the track. So you measure from the bottom of the slider to the top of the clip while pulling with a scale at 20lbs.

Now i wonder if the 2019 Yamaha Sidewinder's are going to come out with this Monorail system????

I read that AC is offering a conversion to Alpha for $3500 most likely usd.
