Exactly. If they take the time to come on here and give me their assurance that there currently are no problems, and that all current problems will be fixed for next year.....Im in.

The sad part is these sleds really do perform on the hill. I'm tempted, but you can't have belt issues for 3 seasons in a row.

Yes, great sled but to much of a liability for this guy at the moment.
I am interested in the long term reliability of the engines now that the 2017s all probably have 2500+km on them.
Time bomb cranks?
My guess is 4th year all the research will be done and the bugs ironed out.

Johnny, you do realize we would find the solution to the belt blowing but the only way I can slow the oil consumption for you is to strap a block of wood under your throttle flipper.

Did you not tell me you blow a chit load of belts on your Polaris's as well? You will blow belts on anything you ride bud.
yup, my 240hp nytro has 2300kms, 2 belts...and so far my 16 cat has 400km no belts.
both 850s i have rode with popped the first belt at around 1000kms, I feel this is alright.

ehh....the XMs would get 2000+ on belts and they would never grenade like the 850s do. i would like to see 2000 out of the 850 but i have been getting around 1300 which isnt terrible but it isnt great. for how amazing this machine performs its worth it but needs to get better.

Ive got 3000km on my 2nd belt after a few clutch and gearing changes and it is the best machine I have rode so far. So I will be snowchecking another one.

Will not buying one , will now target one with a one year old with left over warranty and low mileage , to save a good 3-4 G
A 155" with 2.5" paddle in the trees of sicamous and revy, held full pin, all day, every day. Not many machines on this planet can handle sustained redline use without issues or the need to have cool downs. Sure the instagram vids look great with the machine screaming and the skis in the air for 7 min straight... try a 163 3" I'm betting belt life and engine life increases.
