Re: 2019 release dates ??

Thinking Polaris will be the only big change for any of the big 4 this snow check season.

BRP marketing at it's finest

Bingo. My guess is they will market that they have fixed all of the problems that currently dont exist. wink wink

The sad thing is that most people wouldnt have a problem with these issues if BRP would just step up and stand behind them. They are producing cuttin edge machines and I think that most people realize that everything isnt going to be perfect out of the gate. There is no reason that they shouldnt be warrantying all belts, standing behind their oil consumption marketing promises, and being forthright about engine issues. The deny deny deny strategy is getting really old. And the "its your riding style" thing has gotten really old. I dont care how you ride, if you blow a belt in under 1000km it should be warrantied no questions asked.

and what did you expect him to say....we got nuttin?
every marketing guy is going to talk up their brand even if they only make minor changes....

Maybe they should be "marketing" the hot clutch issue's as we are "providing you a full meal deal machine".....cook you meal in the muff pot and fry eggs, bacon, etc on the clutches after a good ride.....? .mmmmmmm-mmmmm-good!

Exactly.
It's the slimy inuendo statements, false promises and lack of backing that turns peps off on the cutting edge work they do.

Let's see what game changing marketing promises/tactics are used at snowcheck time to try market their product.

Most interesting part of doo snochecks.

Maybe Cat will get new boards and tunnel as the rest is pretty solid.
Axys pretty much has it nailed for a 2smoker and Yammie is rockin the 4 strokes. Just BNG for these two would work.

But that's just mho.

Doo's 2019 release will have more appeal to the Eastern guys than the Western crowd.

No you can cook the meal after one good pull. No need to wait till the end of the ride.
Norona does some really good info vid but he should stop there.
The rest is somewhat unbecoming of the guy.......but you are right.
Part of his job/affiliation.

Re: 2019 release dates ??

Maybe it’s another new belt? There was nothing wrong with the 391 on the xm’s with or without boost. Discontinuing the 391 infavor of the harder 531 is curing the symptom and not the problem.

391 works just fine on my neighbors 850 and he has yet to blow one belt, and hes still running the old gear ratio.
So maybe the chassis QC is the issue.

Re: 2019 release dates ??

This is a typical thread holy, i was hoping to read prediction's on the 2019 up coming model's.
90% of this thread is about BRP and their junk, not to insult Ski-doo owner's, but that is what i'm reading on here. From what i'm reading, POS 850, POS clutch and so on. If these BRP sled's are so bad why are you guy's buying their product and in such a rush to keep giving your hard earn money to BRP??
Anyhow i don't own a BRP product and currently have no plan too but i do ride with some that do and i hope they are not as bad as some are claiming because i don't want to be stuck towing one out anytime soon.
So back on the SUBJECT 2019 releases.
I think that;
Doo; will have some minor refinements to the G4, probably some that will address current concern's. But nothing big.
Cat; will increase their color scheme and have very minor refinements also. But the Acsender is really rocking in every way so i doubt any other changes.
In the 2 strokes, it is my #1 choice of sled.
Polaris; I think Polaris will surprise us for 2019 and believe they are the one to watch. Maybe a new power plant or big bore.
Yam; I see no real changes in their lineup other then minor refinements and colors. Yamaha's customer satisfaction for the 17 and 18 season's is showing they are heading in the correct direction with their current market.

That's my take on it.

Oh crap, i just realized this is not a release prediction thread but a release DATE thread..LOL...sorry, thats bad.

Re: 2019 release dates ??

Man some people are quick to jump on BRP and smash the 850. I'm on the complete other side have not seen an 850 with a problem personally, I own an 850 and ride with 3 others on a consistent basis best sled on the snow and yes personally been on the other brands there nice sleds too. All the brands break down and have issues just like many 850 owners are having zero issues, I also see double the amount of 850's on the snow then any other brand. Even if you don't like BRP they are always changing product and trying new things its great for the sport in general. When it really comes down to it a good rider will feel at home on any of todays sleds, really can't go wrong with any of them not one brand is perfect either.

Have you people heard that BRP filed for a patent for a turbo?! Sure it was years ago and nothing ever came of it before, but it's only because they are waiting for 2019.. or.. a mid season release. ?

I honestly believe the engine was purpose built for boost.
I bet it was supposed to be released already but didn't until they can cure the current problems.
All the 2-stroke manufactures must be taking note of how popular the turbo kits have become. Time to get their part of the pie.
