Ya, I'd suggest running a few more straps to with a front clamp that loose.

Not sure Id take tie down advice from a guy with a 5 foot sled deck and a 15 foot long sled.

I think you mean " not sure i would take advise from a 5 foot tall guy with 9' deck and a 12' sled on it"
