Some of the climbs you gotta do if you go to the right. When we went the meadows were pounded out but the other guys were climbing the sides, my 09 m8 with the 2.25 didn’t fair so well in comparison to a 174 3”

rememver if you drop in, you gotta make the climb back out lol
This is a video when we were leaving, the scenery from Quartz is unreal as you can tell I just stood there and stared... lol Made my jaw drop, same with when you go into forester and get up top thunderwater lake.

There’s safe areas to play, but there’s a ton that was above my skill range, I mean a ton.

Ya for sure we'll we will take it slow, but is there any areas where it's safe and fun and stay and play all day? What area was that like what do you call it? Is it pararie hills

Be hard to find, anything that’s safe, and fun, was tracked up when I went. I’ve only been once, I’m sure the regulars will be able to tell more. Just be sure to listen to the signs, don’t go sledding past them.

Awesome thanks, well I mean just a small hill to climb an fool around on, they say it's the safer between Gorman lake, how big is the area where it's open, how far of a ride up the trail? Where do I find trail passes? And is a decent sized area without many trees , Cause if it's anything like that trail where we met yous down by rainguage a few years ago forget it,

Lots of sleds and a pretty small area

Awe really? So it's not that great then? Or can you fan out and go other places to find better snow without going up a bunch, this is our first time outthere, we want fairly safe we realize the danger is always imminent but we don't want to ride right into anything that's gonna wipe us out,

Trail passes are right at the beginning of parking lot, and a transceiver check as well, very nice feature.

We got a later start when we went into Quartz we never ventured up Gorman, just fooled around in Quartz, I was having plenty fun getting myself stuck in the weird snow conditions we had that day.

If you go left trail from the cabin there’s quite a bit to play in if you have a fresh blanket.

There’s less trees in Quartz everywhere in comparison to rain gauge.

No idea what the names were, but those were two separate bowls. If you get up the trail to the cabin, we took a right up the trail, which was groomed all the way up to the bowls basically. Climbed up the ridge and then dropped into the first bowl which I believe was the climb in the second video to get out. That was two years ago though, and I’ve only been once, I’m sure some one with actual reputable knowledge will check in soon. Check out forester, can’t remember where you guys said you were from but I’m guessing south west Alberta? Forester would be closer then Quartz, if you haven’t been there I’d look into that. It’s at radium, accommodations might be cheaper as well.

No worries man, it'll.be a huge eye opener to us as we've only been to the rolling hills, just hope to find some deep snow and a few hills to climb and good enough don't wanna push it

Here's the deal. It's hard to go wrong at quartz unless someone is pushing and pushing futher out.
Left to the meadow. Lotsa cool places to play especially if u can poke around and have a brain. There is so much more than the eye sees. Fun safe. Or big pulls.
Right on the cabin is safe at first but it's clear wot to keep away from. The good thing about it getting pounded out is u can follow all the trails. And u should. It's really easy to get on ridges and up to 2500m. Sweet views!
Over all it's a good place to start big mtn riding coz on a good day u can see almost all of it from ridge tops.
Park boundary signs r plentyful and if one of your buddies goes past it punch him in the face!

Quartz is easy and on a deep day retardedly fun. You'd be surprised how many locals go there on a powder day ...

Right on thank you very much for all your responses everyone I'm sure we will enjoy it, hoping to score a map so I don't go past boundaries lol, is it as hairy as ppl let on about getting checked with your rig and tires and stuff? Like I know we should be legal with a f350 2 sleds on a deck and 2 on a trailer, this is our first time going this far in so trying to get prepared as of what to expect, has anyone ever stayed at the travel lodge!? How is it and is it secure for the rig!? I've got a switch in my truck so they can't Hotwire it, anything else you's can tell me or let me in on thanks fellas I appreciate it
