I bought mine from a ski and board shop in saskatoon since none of the sled shops had them, so I'm sure other ski shops may have them if one calls around.

just plugged them in, little red light comes on. it has a usb charger. Now you hit the grey button quickly and that puts the turbo function on that defrosts instantly then shuts off, the light goes blue. if you hold it down for a second it then is white and it’s on and depress it for another second and it shuts off.

How did you like the aboms? Did you get a chance to try them last weekend?

They were great, the first day i played around with them too much and wore the batteries out in about 4 hrs. From there they fog up easily. The second day i rode up the trial with alternate goggles they were completely fogged up by the time i was at the cabin. Put them away then put aboms on. Hit the switch till the amber light was on and they seriously kept clear for the entire day. The conditions were -13 most of the day with ice fog. Others were fighting keeping these goggles from fogging

So mostly used the constant on feature, over the burst cycles?

Any updates on theses goggles?

How do the one's fit vs the heets?

I don’t have the heats but I have the Abom One’s, Oakley Infernos and 509 x6’s.

If the Abom battery lasted longer they would be my number one. Nicest clarity in lens. Oakleys are still my go to goggles. The battery is better and clear as good as the Abom. Really feel like a wasted my money on the 509’s. They dont clear as quick and the battery along with goggles feel cheap. I should have known better.

I have 3 pairs of the oakley inferno but the fact that Oakley discontinued them and it is really hard to find replacement parts, id have to give the abom a consideration down the road. How bad is the battery life?

Aboms battery’s can last a full day, depends if your on maintain or turbo mode.

The abom ones are larger goggles, and were more designed for skiing. There is second abom that is more for the snowmobile so you wear them with your helmet.
I’m not sure what the sale is on.

It’s still a very small battery compared to the Oakley/509/other. I have used them a lot and at the end of the day when I want it most it is usually dead even in burst mode.

The Abom Ones are no larger than the 509 Kingpins. If anything they are smaller.

I can take a photo of all three I have side by side next time I am on days off.

That being said, Abom is developing an actual Snowmobile specific goggle. They were against Motorsports products at first but have realized the size of the market and I am told a possible external battery pack you could plug in as an addition to the internal one if you wanted and a nose guard is in their plans. There are people claiming to sell a snowmobile Abom version now, it’s just the HEET version which was first designed as a smaller skier helmet version and they have since marketed as a snowmobile version but it’s the same goggle.

If they release that version next winter I would sell all my others as the Abom lens and indicator for your mode is still one of the nicer versions.

Abom has two goggles, they have a ski and a snowmobile now, see both links,

ABOM 1 Ski - [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Tahoma,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]

I was looking at mine and there ABOM 1 Ski, as there from last year. And on a full charge I've got between 5 hrs and 7 hrs of service. I use the yellow always on, and when im stopped and hot I will kick in the turbo. I have a set of Oakley Infornos as well, I prefer these personally. I have a skidoo carbon fibre helmet and I don't have an issue with these current googles I have. The HEET version may be a bit smaller as well.
