So not much in stock in town so far.

Who has them in stock in edmonton area?

As I understand 509 is out of stock for the season so if you can't find them in a store you're likely SOL until next year.

I have a set of infernos. I bought them last year and they work great. I hardly ever take my goggles or helmet off now.

Has anyone tried the Julbo Aerospace goggles?

I have them and they are probably the best goggle made for people that wear glasses. The heated goggle interests me but for people that wear glasses, its the glasses that fog the worst and I don't think a heated goggle will do anything to help with that part of the problem

I also bought the Oakley infernos (Prizm Hi-Pink). Absolutely love them so far. My 509’s were always fogging and I would end up riding with no goggles just so I could see. I charged the Oakley before my first ride with them three weeks ago. I haven’t charged them since over multiple trips. What I find is they don’t fog as much to begin with. But when they do the heat cycle clears them very well. One of my best purchases, I’ll never buy anything other than Oakley again. I think I will charge them before the weekend this time.

Ok in what ways? I’m looking for reviews on function not a hood emblem? Haven’t personally seen any of them yet.

For the optical quality alone. Oakley's Prizm technology is like watching HD TV versus SD. Not to mention the heating elements aren't visible on the Oakley and stick out like a sore thumb on the 509.

The only thing I wish Oakley would do is put the Inferno on the Airbrake model. The Airbrakes are the easiest to change lenses on that I've ever come across. One tint doesn't fit all days and being able to switch easily is worth it.

Your 509’s were their new heated version or just the standard?

what do you mean by ipad style charger?

The small square iphone charger will not charge the battery properly. The larger amperage ipad charger will. I think the smaller one causes too much heat and makes the green charge light come on too soon and not allow a good charge cycle with the smaller charger.

They were the non heated ones. I still have a pair of the aviators for the super sunny days since the hi-pink are really bright. The only thing I've noticed so far is the strap on the Oakleys barely fit my large size 509 Helmut (old design). You won't be disappointed by the Oakleys.

I've got a pair of the 509 Ignite Black Ops Heated Goggles and they work great! I don't notice the battery size or weight. Bit of a pain not seeing the on/off light but I just use another pair of goggles for trip up the trail and then use the Always On feature. VERY happy with their performance and have ordered a Yellow lense as the Black can be kind of dark after the sun goes down when heading off the hill. I froze the bridge of my nose decades ago sledding so really appreciate the nose protection of the 509's which was a deal-breaker for me with the Oakley's.

can you get a goggle nose guard with the Oakley's?

I like my 509 sinister for this very reason.

I dont think you can, I wear a balaclava with a breath deflector so ive never used the nose piece on my older goggles.

So 509 are out of stock for the season!

Was interested in ABom but don’t know where you can find them except online.

So for now I bought a pair of Oakleys. Hi pink lens.

One side note with the Oakleys is they take the same batteries as the frankensled lights, so I guess I have back up power if needed.

Infernos are scarce, we just sold out this morning at Martins West. People say nothing but good things about them though. A Couple of our employees use them too and they said the same thing, they don't bring spare goggles anymore just their infernos and their batteries last more than a day at a time.

The oakleys are the best. I'm a guy whom breaths pretty heavy and where glasses. Finding a pair of goggles prior to getting these was impossible. I love them and the battery will last 2 days min

I went and asked because of this post. We do transfers from store to store as well, could have come from another. They mentioned they might be able to order them though. Perhaps they got some in after you checked and being they are pretty popular didn’t last long. Just trying to help dude lol
