Some thing else that every one should be packing is Advil, Ibuprofen, Tylenol.
If you get hurt, sprain, broken ribs, leg and so on. You will be glad to have them. It's important in these situation to get the swelling under control and control the pain. This will help you function to get out.

I carry Vicodin along with ibuprofen. I actually used it a few weeks ago after a bad wreck. I ended up with a facture vertebrae and bruised ribs. Sure took the edge off the pain. I don't know if I would of been able to ride out without it.

I've been lucky to never really hurt myself badly while sledding but because of stories I've heard the wife and I both pack a couple Oxycodone in our FA kits, If I end up with a broken bone and have to be brought out I want something for pain mitigation.

Haywire - plug wires broke off - jammed a short piece into cap and onto wire taped it up - ripped all day like that - use it to tie up my mudflap sometimes - tie up scratchers sometimes - so handy - looking at other posts I'm thinkin some liquid hydromorphone needs to go in the bag good ol dilotted - get the pupils dialated I have some really old mushrooms - but riding out tripping balls might be a bit crazy

Went threw mine and the wife’s packs this fall. All of our boil in the bag dehydrated foods were coming up on their expiration dates. Pulled them all out to be replaced with new and then made a game with my boys on how to gather enough snow to boil the required 2 cups of water on the jet boil in the back yard while pretending to be stranded. Certainly opened their eyes as to how hard things can be if you didn’t happen to have water bottles in your pack and a nice wood stove to work with. Long story short, check your bags for even the simplest of things when doing your pre season checks.

Can't remember if I put this one up:

Coghlan's tarp.

It is an actual tarp that folds up to the size of a ¼" magazine. It has red on one side for spottingand a foil coating on the other. It is about 4' x 6' and has eyelets. When a friend of mine went over the cliff in Tommy Creek in Mcbride, and spent the night on the side of the mountain until a chopper with medics got him. He said a tarp saved his life. Randy also had a babushka, and super warm mitts. He was recovered with borderline hypothermia.

A guy i rode with month ago spent the night on the hill. He had everything he needed to spend the night again after his first experience. He told me an XL BBQ cover, 40 hour emergency candle and some emergency blankets and you would stay nice and cozy. I looked at my sack and all i gots is a 12 pack of beer. Needless to say it was an eye opener and i equipped my sled with everything i could possible need for survival. and includes.
