Hey guys, my fan cooled 440 dies when warmed up. Wont start until its cooled down. What could be the issue here?

Thanks.

Used to have 94 340 fan cooled and it did the same thing, ended up being a base gasket and cracked intake boot. The base gasket was obvious it blew oil all over the bottom of the motor, but I'm really not sure why it only quit when warm, it really shouldn't have ran at all.

A friend has a mid 90s formula doing possibly similar. Would run great cold, then warm up then start to non stop bog then not run at all. The main needle clips we set way too rich. Lowered the clips and now runs great.

when it warms up and dies i would check for spark, i have seen coils and cdi do this on the older sleds, you need to determine if its a fuel or spark issue and checking spark is easier than fuel, just my 2 cents

X2 on the CDI...... Very common for them to work when cold, but as they warm up they quit working. This is where I would look first, a fuel issue is usually all the time.
