Hi All,

Once again the Calgary Snowmobile Club in partnership with the CrowSnow Riders is holding their annual Ride for STARS fundraiser. We will be holding a ride in early Feb down in the Pass in conjunction with a Poker run. The goal this year is to collect enough donations to pay for a single flight $5400. Would love to fund a couple if possible but recognize times are tough. All donations to the STARS Foundation will be valid for tax slips and if done via the website below the receipts will automatically be sent to you in the mail. Please consider supporting the event.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Papajake,
Either one is greatly appreciated. If you want to do the cash then you are welcome to use the link or you can mail in a cheque to us - will send you the address. If you have some goodies to donate for prizes then I either myself or Kelsey from the Crowsnow riders can work with you depending on your location and what is convenient. Let me know what you prefer to do.

Happy New Year everyone. Now that we are past the holiday season and back to the grind I am resuming my efforts to get the word out for the STARS ride that is about a month away. STARS really stepped up themselves with a fantastic website for donations. Please check it out. This year our target is $5400 - the equivalent to the average cost of just one flight. As of today we are at $400. Every donation helps. And in case you are wondering you will get a tax receipt directly from STARS for your donation.
Thanks Everyone.

I’ll pump that post out to as many FaceBook sites as I can - like I did for the Poker Rally.

So the Calgary club is now past its poker run and we are past Christmas so its time to focus on our STARS ride. This event is less than 3 weeks away. We have a long way to go to meet our goals so any support is appreciated. If you are on FB please share our post with the link to the event to spread the word.

Ideally, its much more fun to come and do the ride but if you cant you are still more than welcome to sponsor the fundraising ride with the weblink. We used to sponser individual riders but this year we simplified and you have the option to donate on behalf of the Calgary club or the CrowSnow club. No matter what if you donate the charitable donation tax receipt comes back to you.

The past summer someone had placed large rocks on the road up to York staging. They were across the road blocking when it goes from pavement to dirt. Might want to check that out.

Thanks Papajake for the note. The Crowsnow Riders did have to change the location to Atlas as noted.

On a side note the rock issue is resolved so both areas are open, the change was due to other factors.
