What really other than chassis mods are not bolt on anymore? turbos have turned into plug in and go setups, engine mods are all pretty tested and tuned ready to slap on plug it into the computer and go ride.

That’s like saying anybody with a hammer can build a house. Not just anybody can be Specialty sleds, there sleds looked very clean and nicely done at the sled show. Some guys couldn’t even been bothered to wash the mud off their skis. I got Chrisco to install my bolt in kit because I wanted it perfect. He’s had to fix a lot of turbo installs from other shops that thought it just “bolts in”. I think there is still a need for shops like Parkland , Specialty, mountain magic , Racers Edge and Linderman.

There will always be a need IMO for speciality shops like mentioned above. They provide a service that some dealers will not, and IMO those shops push the manufacturers to build better products.

I think the main difference is the service that comes before and after purchasing the specialty part. go into any shop and they can probably get you a turbo kit and install it, the problem comes when you are int he mountains and something goes wrong. most specialty shops will have run it and can walk you through problems. Or even before you leave to the hills they will know what clutching you need what to look out for when up there. Most of these shops are willing to do stuff "to make it work" where as most oems put way too much on liability when the perfect bolt doesnt fit.
