Can a 162" x 15" x 3.2" Track be put into a 2013 Pro without a drop and roll kit?

I have heard a 3" fits but is snug with 7 tooth 3"pitch Avid drivers, jut not sure if enough extra for a 3.2".

Was hoping to be all in less than $1500 into to this, and if I can get away with just 7 tooth drivers, track and anti stab kit I will be successful.

If not is trimming the track a feasible option or should I look for a 3"?

I've looked into this as well, and have not seen a single thread out there that says its possible. I went with the 3 ". 1470$ for the x3 through Cooper's RV in Edmonton for the track. 350 for drivers, plus anti stab kit. I do see a new take off 163 and 174 on Kijiji right now for 1000.

Yeah I couldn't find anything saying it was possible either. I already have the track though, got a wicked deal on a 3.2" yesterday at the sled show. There are well defined mold lines on each line lug i could use to cut 1/4" off of every lug, I'd just really hate to do that to a brand new track.

I rode with a guy last year that had the 3.2 on a 13 pro. I asked what he had for mods He never mentioned a drop and roll.

When I did my X3 I lathed the drivers to true them perfectly. I took of at least 1/8". If you did the same a 3.2 will fit. Sleds at Chrisco right now if you want to see how much clearances I have.

When you say lathed the drivers due you mean cut down the outer circumference to take off the flat edges and make it round again? Wouldn't this also effectively change the pitch of the driver?

Thanks for the offer, but I am back home in GP, was just a quick trip down and back yesterday, I was however talking to Chris at the show yesterday and will order the drivers through him if I think I can get it to work.

I lathed the round part of the driver where the track rides on. Not the teeth. The drivers need to be pressed on first to the drive shaft. It would affect pitch if you were to lathe a lot off but your not. Your just cleaning it up a tiny bit. I've had zero issues.

Ok that makes sense, not the extrovert part of the drivers but the round part (I guess heptagon part since the avid drivers aren't really round) that would be in the middle of the shaft when installed.

I think I'll just order the drivers and give it a shot, I'm sure I can find someone to machine a little material off the drivers for me, worst case scenario I'll trim 1/4" off of every lug.

Thanks for the help.

Just to update, a 3.2 does not fit without rubbing. The track rubs the front 2 inches of the coolers in the tunnel, it also rubs the boost-it intercooler cooler in the tunnel. I have ground the fins off my boost-it cooler to help clearance and will have to trim some of the nubs off the track to make it not rub the all 3 coolers.

I could lathe down the drivers but I don't think this will give me enough clearance alone, so will leave the drivers intact.

What length of 3.2 do you have? If it’s a 174 I’d be interested. A 3.2 will fit in my pro easy.

3.2 is 3/16” bigger than my X3. Lots of room in mine.

Maybe this is why? Moved my skid down when I did the baker skid to level out my rails.

It might have an effect. So would your drivers being slightly smaller. I guess a guy could run it like this, but it is always going to rub a little.

At the end of the day I was in search of a 3" track and bought the 3.2" because the price was right. Im still more than happy to have a 3.2 trimmed to a 3.
