I work for a North American wide construction company and was thinking setting up a "Team Building" sledding weekend (or during week to avoid the crowds) for some of the upper management. I look at it a couple of ways...a good way to get to know some of the upper management that only comes through my office once a year or so, and a free sledding trip on the company. (I am part of the management team in my office)Win - win. I was thinking of late February or early March to try and catch a bluebird day or two. Now, where to go? Have stayed at the cabins at Glacier House before and found it pretty decent, but hat was 3-4yrs go. Chatter Creek is out, not gonna bring them 80km up a FSR. Eagle Valley I know, but have met Rene a couple of times on the hill and ...meh. To be truthful, I am leaning towards Grizzly Lodge or CKMP, but have zero experience with either and looking for input from peeps who have been to both. Please keep in mind, most would be new to mountain riding, but not necessarily new to riding flat land sleds...yes, I am extremely aware they are completely different games.

Haven't been to Carl's Camp but been to Grizzly a few times . Hands down if you looking for Team building and various riding levels for both newby and advanced than Grizzly has all that . Comfortable Lodge and excellent food and you can party your asses off !

Might be limited on choices by the size of the group. How many are going? I think 18 fills the Grizzly lodge.

I have been to both and from what you are describing I would say Kusters would be a better fit!

I would normally recommend Grizzly but the logistics can be a bit intimidating if you have newbies. I'd recommend Glacier House just because you're closer to town and can drive right to the lodge without packing gear in on sleds.

I would recommend Glacier house also Nice place to stay, good food, groomed trails to the cabin easy access to the alpine not that intimidating
The other place might be Peeks lodge New owner Very good food ( the one time i was there this summer ) They are doing renovations though but are very accommodating. close to town if some do not want to ride all the days,,,

I have been in Revelstoke more then a few times and ran into groups on company outings exactly as you describe. All usually stay at Glacier House and I would highly recommend it. One group had at least 16 riders in it mostly new. Stuck everywhere but you could tell they were having a blast. You can also rent sleds right from the shop there which is another nice feature. That and Revelstoke is just a fun town to be at. My fiancé and I took our Dads last year (one never been, the other 10 years since going up) and a few other older guys. They had a blast! Would highly recommend this route.

If you haven't booked grizzly lodge I'm willing to bet they won't have accommodation available for that time of year. Every year we book the entire lodge for a week at the beginning of march and struggle to get every in a year in advance.

no, nothing booked yet as the higher ups on the food chain are holding the purse strings and need the go ahead. I have styed 4-5 times at the Glacier House and understand the ease at which there is access...that being said, the ease of access draws the large crowds too

I was going to say the same about Glacier House, beautiful but lots more peeps, and that would be the same story on the hill, CKMP is a great facility with first class accommodations as well as first class guides and they can get you off the beaten path and away from the masses. and they are better suited for smaller groups for a more private experience.

I talked to Carl at the show and everything is booked for this year already. If anywhere, it seems it will be Glacier House now.
