I allways add "No PayPal, scammers or spammers, cash in person ONLY". Seems to work.

I do the same thing but I don't think the scammers even look at the ads. Sled listed and the message is 'Is your boat still available?' like WTF

The other thing that drives me nuts is the resale value of used toys. Sleds don’t seem to hold there value at all. A sled that should be worth $7000 is valued at $5500 (according to everything else that’s out there). Then the buyers out there look at an unfortunately low valuation and figure that they can drive that price down even further by a grand or more. Then if that purchaser decides that he’s done with the purchase he figures that cause he screwed the last guy he can make a profit (not always the case, just saying) and then I’m sure he’s baffled that he has such a great sled, that he devalued during his purchase, that he can’t get the high dollars that he’s looking for. It’s a crazy cycle. If guys would stop trying to screw the next guy out of a buck and pay a fair price for a product, in turn the products would hold some value. I understand that the new manufacturers aren't doing us any justice by selling last year hold overs at a 15-25% discount but come on, buyers and sellers are both helping drive the market down. I’ll even state that I’m part of the problem. I’m trying to sell my 2014 XP right now. I tried listing a reasonable price of 5200. Only bites have been huge lowballers with no appetite to negotiate fairly, so I drop the price to 4500 firm hoping that will help. And if I don’t drop the price or take the lowball offer I’ll have a sled that I won’t be able to sell until it’s only worth 3K in 4 years. Now I’ve unfortunately turned into one of the douches that is contributing to the perpetual devaluation of our toys in the sport we love. For this I apologize. Next you will see the new sled prices go through the roof and the only way a person will purchase new will be thru a manufacturers rebate just like the auto industry, just have a look at the brp dealer offers out there.

If you put it for sale before or after Christmas I’m sure it would sold by now. Most people got their sled already for the winter so it’s just people left that want to buy for a good deal (upgrade their old sled for cheap)
Also your sled is classified as an XP and you are competing against 08’s that are under $3k so you don’t stand a chance. All of us on this website know yours is worth $4500 but try telling that to the 18 yr old
By buddy bought an 08 with 4500km for $2700 even though I told him to spend an extra grand as that’s a ticking time bomb...

Well I sold my XP today to a guy on kijiji. One of the nicest guys I’ve had the pleasure to meet in a while. Asked the questions he didn’t know answers to, didn’t low ball, nice demeaner, and showed up when he said he would. I guess there’s still a few good apples left out there.
