Does anyone haul 3 sleds in an enclosed trailer? Maybe 1 backwards and two forward? trying to stay away from the V front or like a deep V. How big would it have to be to haul 3 163 inch long track sleds? Should one go tandem or single axle?

For sure tandem have a small single axle we stuffed 3 sleds into last year ended up limping home with a bent axle and broken shock mount. Was a light alu. trailer too. for us now two in the trailer and one in the box with the tailgate up is the best bet.

I have done it with my old 8.5x16 flat nose. DO NOT GET A SINGLE AXLE. Too much weight. Plus the extra braking in winter conditions with a tandem axle helps.

Why do you want to stay away from the v? I have a trails west. 14ft box with 6ft v nose and can get 3 sleds in easily. Comes with 2 axles as well

Not that the v is a bad thing but people were supplying information on the minimum size required for the 3 sleds. With your v's your trailer is bigger than the minimum. The draw bar on a flat front is a lot shorter than the most v's.

sorry to hijack the thread but whats the smallest trailer needed to fit 4 154s, will mostly always be 3 but nice to have the option for 4 have a 30 foot mission that I would like to downsize to something smaller and get rid off the sled deck aswell.

I have a snowbird 20' + 4' V and we fit 4 sleds of any length backed in no problem. We can ALMOST fit all four driven in forward. We have never used the front door we just back the sleds in every time. but do need to V to fit the sleds. Since the engines and majority of the weight is towards the back we throw all of our gear and jerrys at the front of the trailer to even it out. Drives great.
