deeper pockets to handle debt load allowing for more expansion?

Arctic Cat is a relatively small company that was brought from the edge of bankruptcy years ago and has grown into a strong "little" company. The debt held by the AC shareholders must have been a constant bottleneck to manage. Hard to expand (ie: new engine) with a limited cash flow. Hopefully this will change things for the better.

Wow... didn't Textron used to own Polaris back in the day? I thought the story was that the Polaris founders then started cat. Talk about going full circle if that's right.

Too many negative people starting rumors. Wildcat board is full of negativity. I think it is what is needed for the company. Maybe these guys will get stuff done. If not then there is other machines on the market.

Yes I think they Need the cash influx to keep up
... It's so hard for a smaller company to R&D properly and supply new models as well as gain market share .
It takes deep pockets ..

This could be a good thing for cat to level the playing field , but there could be cuts to the unprofitable sections I would think ...

With a purchase price that low you can bet AC is debt laden (I haven't checked). This should be a nice injection of capital for improved and more timely R&D. I can only assume that cash shortages are why things like the snowbike haven't been released yet as well as why it took what 3 years to get clutching sorted out in the proclimb chassis.

Yes , that would explain the numerous delays and misinformation on the wildcat utvs as well ...
I did know they were hurting a bit ...
This could make them a big player , who knows ...
I think they want in on the extremely lucrative military vehicle contracts ...!

Textron bought Raytheon/Beechcraft in the last year or so. Saw what they were getting away with for parts pricing, and promptly escalated parts costs for all the Cessnas too. Just hope that you don't see this in snowmobiles. Hope I don't need anything big for my floatplane anytime soon!
