Two days of Trout Lake..all we can say is Awesome!!!!
Due to some pretty buggered up fingers this will be short.
We are in Revy having Breakfast. Probably ride Golden today, Revy is darn beat up due to the Yamafest.
We have some great stories with photos and video to support.
Cheers
Sledbunnyracing, Summitric, Cat900 & Razor Ray.

tons of stories........

Like sledbunnyfinger said: Revy had the most sledders in town this past weekend for Yammifest, than they had for the "big iron shootout":D ...... man, was that town busy:eek: .......... we ran into Jimmy Blaze, and the infamous "Steve-O", while we were in our trailer fixing a broken KITTY KAT with the doors open and sleds parked outside in the Tim Horton's/ESSO parking lot, and he will be putting out 3 new movies very soon. He's quite the character, and hopefully we'll see him on this site soon too, as I gave him some cards for the site. We bought some new movies from him(he was out from Merrit, BC, just for the yammifest) for $20.00 each -- smokin' deal!!! Saw more nice "rigs" and pull units, than I've ever seen in my life, and that was just at the Tim Hortons/Esso gas station on the hiway. AWESOME. We heard the first backflip on the new Yammi Nytro was done one day at Yamafest!!!

hey, we always have fun and like i said we have great photos and videos for the weekend and in my case body damage.
story 1 - riding in the trout lake and found a completely untouched area. we thought we might spend 1/2 an hour there...ended up being so good we were there all day. had mostly sun but every now and then it woud disappear and go completely flat light. i'm going 5kmh and there is a snow drift i don't see. sled nose dives and stops. a whopping 3 foot drop, but that don't matter, i go over the handle bars and land in front but my left baby finger stays with the sled brake lever. yep, it's facing the wrong way now...that can't be good. can't take off my glove to check it out unless i straighten it out so...you guessed it...i pull the baby finger out and put it in place so I can take off my glove.
ouch comes to mind. rode the rest of the day like that. sunday morning the hand is swollen like crazy and my palm is black an blue so today i had xrays. nothing broke but stretched everything real bad and to add insult to injury...they put me in a cast.

story 2 for catmando

catmando, not sure if your aware but one of our out regulars is cat900 who rides a powerhouse cat...except for maybe this shot.
he's just climbed out of a really nice valley and stops at the top, sled rolls back a bit, gives her throttle and "stuck". summitric grabs the bunjie and yells "get the camera for catmando" (lol). so here summitrics photo to you.
hey, missed you on this ride...had a great time...for sure we ride next year.

cheers

Okay, Kittycantdoowhatdoosdoo!!

Our little buddy mod900(warren);) had a bit of a rough day on saturday in "foggy day" lower bowl. We did quite a bit of "logging" for the boy:tree1: , and in these pics, i was waiting at the bottom for everyone to clear the valley(i'm kinda like "mother hen", always the last one out, making sure no one was left behind) and i started up a slight sidehill incline, and when i came over the lip, all i saw was "long hair" standing on the trail we made and watching his sled cruising sidehill and down into these trees. Had to cut the 8" round tree down and then some serious lifting/pulling and managed to get him out...... Says he was bucked off the trail and was leaning into the sidehill and fell off his sled:rolling: :rollinglaugh: :chatterbox: :ha_ha: :lol2: ......no damage, just his pride. See the big snow???:d

Yamafest was a busy weekend, just over 250 riders on Boulder on Fri. and over 350 on Sat. only 1/2 as many as that other weekend. Heard there were over 80 dealers here from right across Canada and some of them drove 50 hrs. to get here. You guys think you got it bad.
Got a couple pics. of JimmyBlaze doing the backflips.

Your right some very nice machines on the hill and even crazier climbs and jumps.
Here are some of the sleds that I saw. Click on the pic. to make them larger.

Climbing up and over

Here is a little clip of a climb that doesn't look too big...but it was. Only two sleds in our group could make it over - a RT1000 and a cat 900.
On this one the rider went over a bit hard and ended up in the trees on top...pretty funny. I will let the rider add any further comments if he wants too.

Cheers.

My Favorite Clip Of The Weekend

OK, here is my favorite clip of the weekend.
The rider will remain nameless unless he wants to take credit for the "Tree Incident".
I give him a "9.5" for speed, a "5.5" for control, a "2.5" for completion and a "10" for luck.
Got to have your kanackers screwed on tight for this ride.

Trout Lake Photos-Mar 30th-Posted

Just posted my photos from our ride in Trout Lake from Mar 30/07.

This includes the photos of the "accident" when one of our guys overshot the landing pad and went over a 400 foot ridge.
Great snow in Trout Lake, no groomer so they have brutal trails.

We thought we were ordering an airlift out because the rider was not moving or speaking. It was darn tense for about 5 minutes. I raced around the range (about 2 km over some interesting terrain) and summitric began climbing down. Not one of my favorite moments until we knew "everythinig" was OK....then you laugh and move on....oh and take a bunch of photos. Hopefully this weekend will be less eventfull.

Sounds like you were really disappointed that there was no carnage.:D :D That knife edge, over the cliff in the pics musta been quite a ride too.:yikes:
