About 6hrs ish west of Calgary. Scotch creek is the closest place. It's 50k or so up logging roads from there.

Can you ride here without staying at the lodge? If yes where is the closest place to stay? If not. Are there other staging areas in the general area?

You can but there are closer areas that are sweet to, this is the whole bench that goes to rev so anywhere along there is good. I would not ride in that far unless you were staying there...you will spend more on gas, might as well stay someplace else and ride a closer area...
