Fernie/Corbin area

Well the riding area sections are pretty quiet so I'll ask here....
Anyone have any Intel on the areas around fernie? How's the base setting up? Areas to avoid?

We usually ride up Corbin area or north of the gun range.

We are doing a day trip on the 22nd and 23rd so hopefully there is some fresh to be found. Fernie webcam keeps showing new snow!

Staged in Morrisey (just on the far side of town) this past weekend. Good snow coverage down low, quick trail to the cabins. Snow is looking good up top and more was coming down as wel left.

Cool! Never staged there. Just coal Creek last year......what a terrible road in the spring haha

Well, the trail wasn't fantastic as they don't start grooming yet, I think they were saying this upcoming week?

But it's a great staging area, most guys prefer to park up top with their trailers and leave the lower lot to the guys with decks etc but we had no problem getting out with our small enclosed this weekend even after it snowed a foot in the parking lot.

Give it a good read. There are some staging areas closed such as Coal Creek (gun range as you call it), yellow gates and the tin shack.
