In a previous thread I was looking for a different avy pack that had an external holder for my shovel. Due to good feedback I decided that instead, I'd like to go to just carrying a second shovel on my '13 Proclimb. I had decided on the new AC tunnel bag that comes on the Mountain Cats. Snag I hit was it won't fit on my tunnel with my mountain addiction gas cans and I'd rather not give them up. What other options are there out there for carrying a shovel on the sled?

I use a Linq bag from BRP. Yes, you need to drill 4 holes in the tunnel but it works great! Lots of room to store other things like extra bungies, tow rope, extra fleece, large first aide kit, etc..

If you already have the mountain addiction cans why not get the big bag as well. I mount my shovel on the top of their bag and can get it out in seconds. easy to put back too.

I use the True Adventure Rear tunnel bag on my turbo. Its roomy and the shovel is easy to access. Can easily be mounted to any tunnel.

I really like the idea of the BCA bag but it's too long as well at 17 inches. 2 inches shorter then the AC one but still too long to use with the mountain addiction cans. At 12 inches the TAGear bag would fit though. How do you strap your shovel to it Lund? Got any pics?

Awesome! Do the MA bags come with the straps for the shovel?

Yep one hundred percent, outside handle and shovel is just asking to go missing, my mountain bag just like the one above, the material that hold shovel ripped out, and elastic is too loose to hold shovel good

So the first face up pocket in the bca back pack is where shovel, handle and snow bungee go

Super easy to get at and use

Never had this issue with my bag. Sled has been rolled etc etc. Maybe they changed the straps along the way. The only issue I had was leaving the bag unzipped then doing 90km/h up renshaw lol. The only thing left was my tool kit.
