Baofeng UV82HP radio's now for sale

Received my two radios. Highly recommend the baofengs and dealing with Ray/totally awesome adventures. They were shipped pretty well next day after payment and they came packaged great and programed ready to rock and roll for a fantastic price. Thanks again Ray, myself and my riding partner are happy!

For everyone using this set up. Can u chime in on how they are working so far, how often u are charging. Each day or getting a couple days out of them. And any tips for carrying and storing while riding that works I have never owned a radio like this but looking at getting our group on board

These radios are awesome. Can get 3 days easy outta them on one charge.....Even at -20.
Can easily hear when someone is talking , even while riding.

I got a cheap snap lid sandwich container from dollarama and drilled some holes in it for the antenna and mic cord. I stuff a rag in it to keep the radio from bouncing around. Works great.

If your backpack has zippers on the straps, you can try and fit the mic in there, otherwise, like my set up, I just zip tied one of the wife's old socks around the mic to keep snow out.

Edit: when I take pics through Tapatalk, the photos go sideways. Don't know how to rotate lol

I have sold a couple of hundred now and the only thing a couple of guys have done is wipe out the programing by doing a factory reset. They have been working good for me and Chris Brown has a dozen he is using in his clinics. So far everything I have heard has been positive.

Great. And thanks for the info. We have some guys in our group that are running BCA radios and they are saying they won't ride with you unless u run BCA. Please comment on compatibility here. And ease of set up to a BCA for example Again I am a newbie here so on a steep learning curve with things. Lol

They work with all the FRS radio which is all the BCA radio are. I have them programed for the 5 BCA factory set channels

No prob!

My riding buddies have not done this. I guess if you lock the radio you shouldn't have too much of an issue, but I don't like other stuff scratching up the screen.

Excellent radios . When we were stuck in Valemount due to the fatality crash on 16 near Robson Park December 30, involving the Chevy Avalanche and the Toyota Matrix, , the Ladd Channels came in handy . As many of you know the most up todate info is related through the trucker network and BC hiways , before it hits the drivebc.ca site . It was interesting listening to the truckers waking each other up, blowing Air Horns as the Highway was closed for 8 hours .Also you can access the Canoe mountain repeater through the VHF/UHF frequencies . From Valemount townsite, you can talk to Clemina parking lot . Not to sure on the legalities of this .7 to 8 watts is powerful for a handheld . Monitoring and transmitting location on the Logging Roads was helpful in Scotch Creek to avoid a grader . Just a few examples , but handy for sure . RCMP frequencies can be
invaluable as well .&#55357;&#56835;

Here is my set up for the case.
I picked up the Pelican case at Wholesale Sports. I had to do some light trimming of the rubber, but after that it fits nicely

I just put my radio on the Goggle pouch in my backpack and clip my mic on the shoulder strap. Never had a problem.

Here is a small juice jug that's right size, will all some foam inside and snip the pour lid just enough for both cables

Way overkill, turn the autolock on and throw in bag. Never have had a problem doing that.

True, but.

If you are tech savvy you can disable the second channel tx/Rx so it will also save on battery.

Also you can put in a 15/30s max transmission. To prevent the radio from being keyed forever by accident.

But do your guys bags not have any zippered internal pockets or what?
