I was wondering if a call to frogskinz would be in order to make a screen out of their material like they did for the BCA mic?

Is the charger 110v or 12v? If they are 110v can you get a 12v charger for them? I would like to use it in the sxs. Also is there the option to use an external speaker. Not sure if the mic is loud enough to hear while going down the trail. Finally do you have them in stock right now?

Mic is plenty loud. Can hear it over a wide-open sled.

12V charger is available, probably not through RGM.

The batteries last a long time. No problem getting 12hrs.

Second battery is maybe $14.

Maybe a second or even a third battery might be a good idea. But with the 12v charger I can just leave the radio in the sxs all the time as well. I think I saw a piece that replaces the battery with a 12v plug in. Not sure which is better.

I have ordered probably about 50 of these radios now for friends. One of them had an issue with the mic port.

1 year warranty, sent I back to Boefeng Tech. Sent me back a new one.

If you don't buy through a dealer you are SOL.

But like you say new charger is $12 .....

I bought mine off eBay couple years ago now. Radios have been flawless. Just the one base never worked.

Also bought some puxing radios and the bases never worked properly.

Sorry for being off topic.

The 12v piece I saw replaces the battery and has a cord coming out that plugs into a cig lighter.

Warranty is one year, just send me an email about the charger. I have extra batteries for sale now. I don't carry the battery eliminator yey but if there was enough demand I would bring them in.

I'd order a few for in the pickup and the tractors.
Is it possible to get a roof mounted antenna for these units as well?
