I have my sled for sale and received an email the other day from an Angelina Paul. This person was interested and just emailed me back stating she is from the Yukon and couldn't make it to view my sled here in Alberta as she is pregnant at the time. She wanted me to sent my full name and PayPal info to send the money and a courier would pick up the sled after the money went into my account. Sounded fishy to me so I googled this name and sure enough other people have received similar stories to mine. I will try to attach what came up when I googled the name. Just giving everyone a heads up out there.

I had someone pretending, I think, to be from the Yukon try to scam me as well a few years ago when advertising a sled. It was a guy though.

This has been going on for years. Stress in your ad's No Paypal, Cash only. This will help weed out scam emails for yourself.

Tell them you'll only do it with an e-mail money transfer. They're pretty foolproof. If they actually send you some money......bonus!

Part of the scam is using pay pal so after they pick up whatever you are selling and getting it back into the states they cancel the purchase by making up an excuse as to why they aren't happy. Pay pal automatically sides with the buyer and refunds their money. Now they have their money back and your property and good luck trying to get it back. NEVER accept pay pal from the states...especially when selling bigger ticket items.

Some caller told me I have a virus on my computer, and if I was to log in and enter some code that he would help me.

I ask him if he could stay on the phone for a 1/2 an hour !

Why a 1/2 hour he asked !

I didn't own a computer, but I could go down town to buy one. Ha Ha.

I've had quite a bit of fun with those guys! Figure if I keep them on the phone for a while it might be one less senior that gets scammed.

Paypal is bad news, they will lock your money up & you will have no access. Support is non existent....so they have your money & you cannot do anything.

Just went thru this with them, many horror stories if you do some research.
