You would think Polaris,Yamaha and cat would have had some secret investigators figuring out what skidoo was up too so they at least had a chance of releasing something even closely comparable. Those release events must have had a "well this is awkward" feeling going around the room.

It's ok guys 2018 is your big year!!! Your gona get a mountain sled I hear

You are enjoying this far too much lol. But, kudos on Doo for bringing their "A game" to the table for 2017, which is a good thing, as competition helps drive this industry and evolves what is available to all riders. It will be interesting to see what the other 3 manufacturers come up with next year, hopefully sled sales show them that they need to bring their "a game" as well. Depressed economy or not, BNG's are tough to swallow for potential consumers.

Maxwell has a good point. Brp marketing could sell sh!t to a pig farmer. Look how many guys are signing up buy a new doo. Give credit where credit is doo.

I think the gay banana onZie dance number missing in action this year might hurt sales

Now that is just plain mean!
But I have already snowchecked my 165 shot of doolaid....haha

The TRF factory likes horespower and they now have a target, I truely believe us doo boys will be in second place in the stock HP wars next spring.
As for the chassis it could use an update only because of the "gee it's not new" factor.
I spent a fair bit of time on a cat this year and put it everywhere inclined with trees that the XM went - with a different mill I might have gone green.

For now it is more doolaid as BRP definatly upped the game!

Hee hee. Sounds a bit like the Oilers fan rally cry. Just wait until next year! From what I have been reading the Axys has come the closest to a doo-beater for the past few years. I am curious when manufacturers might start using carbon fiber in their production sleds. BRP will probably get there first too due to their aircraft experience. BTW WTF is a BNG?

I am a bit discouraged with Cat holding back on their new c-tec. Some info released stated that they had to make a vendor/supplier change of one of the engine components late in the game (no reason why) and their mandate of having a least one year of testing an engine before releasing it could not be met by the new release dates....I respect that they are not releasing an engine that has not been thoroughly tested and let warranty take care of any issues.........so we keep the old proven Suzuki 800 with 163 hp (not ideal but not a dud in any ones eyes either) ....so yes, there is a good list of nice improvements which make it a better sled.....narrower, better attack angle, redesigned spindles, dropped shaft to fit the 8" driver (not sure why they didn't include an easily achievable 174 track option with the Mountain Cat).......but admittedly still...rather discouraged.

I think Doo overall did well. Yes, they have the new 850 with 165 hp (but the old 800 was supposed to have 163....oops, sorry we lied...its really only 155...I would have trouble swallowing that one) How was that even in the 160 hp class??? So yes, Doo has their new powerplant, a new clutch (which I think is awesome BTW), new (much needed) boards and a few nice tweaks along with good weight reduction....although most of it (almost 20 lbs) from a redesigned smaller fuel tank....I don't see that as new technology. A home run....maybe, but not out of the ball park.

I think Yammyha has a winner with their 3 cyl turbo. It looks like a lot of thought went into that design....Good future in that one.

Polaris....hey, they now have a contender to go up against the 174 doo. They have a proven nimble chassis. Will they increase there power?...prob a 2018 thing would be my guess.....

We all know you ride and love skidoo, you probably have a skidoo tattoo on your ass. Every second post from you is some nonsense about how skidoo is so great and everything else sucks blah blah blah. Have to skip through 5 pages of BS just to read some new stats on anything. I even ride a T3 and can't bare to see another one of your skidoo is the greatest everything else is years behind crap post.

What a useless post.

That above post is the second one this morning about nothing related to the topic. The other one was about "the longest paragraph".................

For a guy that wants everything on topic and perfect, I see you also fall into the category of "supplier of useless posts......"

I tried to read that but my eyes went crossed, hit the enter button a couple times. As a teacher, you could appreciate that?

Not perfect, but a guy is trying to follow a release and read some stats and it's the same fanboys posting the same manufacture BS everywhere, we get it, skidoo is the greatest everything else sucks.

Support Quebec but they wont support us. The new 850 with 165 hp (but the old 800 was supposed to have 163....oops, sorry we lied...its really only 155. Any one remember when Mazda came out with the Miada advertized the hp and it was actually less, guy at work had one and they offered a buy back or settlement.
