Anybody ever put motocross bars an an M? I want to put on some renthal fatbars but im not sure if the chunky throttle block will fit. I have a relocation kit for the warmer switches allready.

i like the feel of mx bars better, as well as the ability to put on those plastic 90% polaris hooks that you see on the new pros.

Should be able to measure the diameter of the renthals and then compare to the stock bars pretty easily. Just make sure that they will fit good on your post and go from there.

check out cfr bars. good price and can get them with or without hooks. i put an rsi throttle block on my proclimb to ditch stock throttle block and zap strapped hand warmer/headlight one to my risers

Thx for the replies!

its not exactly the diameter i was worried about, although that is a factor.
i was thinking more of having enough handlebar space to put my hands.

gotta ditch the huge hand controls. not sure if you have the same brake lever as a proclimb, but munster makes a shorter brake lever as well.

I've tried this, there isn't enough straight portion of bar to mount your brake and block for warmers and such.

So i have to get a shorter brake lever, rsi throttle block, and another button for reverse then.

pricey.....

thanks for the replies guys!

Good thread, I was considering doing the same to mine. Guess if we do not want to re-invent the wheel for switches etc... for warmers, HI / LO Beam and Reverse on the other side, it will be difficult.

Perhaps CFR dimensions may work being snowmobile specific...

Nice sled by the way :)

If you go with CFR bars you can use all your stock controls
Do you have good experience with those? I'm using fly racing billet risers, so the clamp area is wider then normal.

they also have to be able to take a rollover.

I've run them on my last two sleds and I know many cat riders using them. They're tough and have a lot better feel than the stockers.

Just came back from the dealer with some measurements, have to compare them when i get back home.
are those the treadway bars with aftermarket 45% bends? Or did you get the boodocker bars?

CFR bars have a longer 7/8" portion whereas the Renthals etc flare to 1 1/8" sooner and make it tough to fit everything on the bars.

These ones are the Turcotte bars which I believe are the same size as the boondockers

I had motocross bars on my sled but went back to stock. I found the motocross too wide and the knerled grips on the bars shorted out the hand warmers.
