Still have original stompers, looking at new boa's klim or the alphas, like to know the actual weight difference? The mf seemed way lighter

Irish Setter elk trackers. I've had them for at least 7 seasons now, maybe 8. They are hands down the best. Just warm enough. Water proof. Light. Good ankle support.
And they don't look stupid, like some of the modern sledding boots.

I see a few people mention the BOA system. The BOA system is great.
Right up until it breaks. Then you have a useless pair of boots unless you can find a guy who only needs one boot and it's not the one you need.
Was really happy with my FXR mtn series BOA boots. Now they are useless.

Give them a call about your FXR boot. I have motorfist alpha boot and read there is a lifetime warranty on the Boa system. Found the above info.

The cable system is fine. The adjuster is in 10 pieces.
Just not a durable enough system to rely on. Laces are simple and if you break one you aren't without a boot.
Can't see it being repaired as the plastic piece that is stitched into the boot itself is busted into pieces. Didn't even notice until we got home and took my boots off. It's on the tongue of the boot. Not like it's in an impact area. I had my reservations about this type of retainer before I bought them.

Yeah you can buy $1200 worth of Klim pants and bibs, $300 Klim boots and $100 Klim gloves and they all last one season with no warranty because they call it wear and tear on their best product. Lol
I would much rather spend $500 on the same stuff and expect it only to last a year.

Get over the Klim bashing Danny. It is getting old. Not to argue nor defend Klim but if there is obvious wear and tear, in their opinion, they are going to refuse warranty. Plain and simple.

My observations posted has nothing to do with the brand of gear. It has to do with the BOA system. I brought it up because people were talking about it. What did my original post say? I brought up the BOA system. Did I say anything was bad with the boot itself? Negative.
You are the one alluding to the products I purchased were not of the quality a higher priced product would be knowing full well I do not currently outfit myself with Klim.
Do you own shares in Klim or something? Honestly if someone has a bad experience with something you love they must be bashing right?

Anyhow. My original Stompers were excellent. The soles couldn't handle kicking snow off your boards. Wore them out. Never went back to Motorfist products after that as I wanted to try something else. I know several people with Doo boots. Doo has come a long way in the last 5-6 ears with the level of their products.
I will have to resort to wearing those horrible Klim boots again which are sitting on my gear rack since the BOA on my FXR is u/s. whatever will I do!?! I have to tie my laces again! SMH.

Very happy with my Stomper 2's. This is I think my third year with them, and I've put 8 days of riding so far this year in -18C to -5C. They are now missing 5 lugs on the bottom sole, but I'm OK with that as I kick boards quite often, and I hear they can be replaced. I'm finding that having them loose with just little Puma Costco ankle socks is keeping my feet warm. I've tried heavier and very heavy socks and find it colder. Also one of my laces broke today. So not perfect, but for sledding gear that has a hard life they are doing good.

I've had Klim ,stomper 2's and now ski doo. The ski doo r by far the best boot I have worn.. the klim were also a great boot. I just prefer the doo boots now.

I have the stomper 1 and I don't think my feet could get wet in them! They aren't warm enough to have water in them, they are cold!

Re sealed my 6 year old Klim boots and wore them yesterday. Feet stayed warm and dry. I'm shipping my Motorfist boots (at my own expense) to Ontario for them to decide if it's a warranty issue or not. So far I'm thoroughly unimpressed. Doubt I'll see them again till sled season is over.
