In the eastern Kootenays, there is the Southern Rocky Mountain Management Plan (SRMMP) where a map was produced identifying the open/closed areas. I don't think the government got very far afield with the other areas and incorporating this idea. Basically, all roads are open (except active logging roads and most of the Parks are naturally closed) and hence, the log blocks that they lead to. There are some closed areas (they are marked in pink polygons) which are normally signed unless the signs have been torn down. Also, AMA's (Access Management Areas) have motorized closure dates and those can be found in the Hunting Synopsis.

Here is a link to the SRMMP but I don't know whether or not all the sub-links are active: https://www.for.gov.bc.ca/tasb/slrp/plan83.html

Why non club area?
Only because we want to head far into the backcountry to ski tour and sled,in the spring when the snow is set up for long adventures.

You're on the wrong website if you are looking for ski tour routes. Google is your friend in times like this.

I'd disagree. ..is this not a sledding website, with many sledskiers posting....I'm looking for sled assecsable wilderness that I can ski ...the ski touring destination is easy
..destination on a sled is not so much,I'd like get well beyond the normal sledding area boundaries if possible ...appreciate the advice regardless.
