According to the farmer's almanac we may be in for the winter none of us want. Apparently Alberta and east will get cold and snow, but west of that will be warmer and dry. I'm not looking forward to that.

I just looked at the farmer's almanac website again. According to the text, which is where I got the above info, if is as I said. According to their map. Ontario and east will be getting a cold and snowy winter, the prairies will be getting a warmer winter, with normal precipitation, and the mountains will be getting warm and dry. THAT SUCKS! We did have it pretty good last year, can only hope those farmers are wrong this year.

short days, long nights. Leaning towards cooler on the thermometer.

This is the only prediction that's guaranteed to happen ! The rest is always a crap shoot. Buy or build the sled you want and what happens, happens. Here's wishing for a full season of tit deep powder !!!!

It was also suppose to be a hot dry summer here in the prairies which wasn't the case. You can't predict the weather.

This was the hottest, dryest summer that I can recall........

All I can remember is rain this year? I don't know where you were lol. It was only until the last month or so it stopped. Great year for farmers.

World weather inc is starting to predict a dry winter as the atmospheric feature that dominated the US Midwest this summer has moved northward, with the dryer than normal bias prevailing until at least spring..

If there is one thing that you can bank on is that the weather man has no idea what is going on, they are down to being accurate to maybe 6 hours at best . I have watched the weather forecast change numerous times throughout the day , and tomorrow's weather is completely different than hours before . That being said why would you believe anything they predict months in advance .
