    Re: Videos of grooming

Well the figuring is not to bad, take the video put it in to Pictures on your computer, down load a video compresser off the internet for free and put it on your utube site. Easy right.
The ones I have done are poor quality, just used the home Sony, that's ok if there is little movement, but the grooming shots need a GO PRO or something simular, my camera is not fast enough for good a quality picture .
    Next year, a Santa request.

Good one Don. Were you just carrying snow or was there some cutting going on? You were just clicking right along. Do you have the drag set to cut much? Was it rough in front of you

    Re: Videos of grooming

To day in this area I was cutting, but the snow pack is deep, that's why there was so much snow going into the collector. The main trail going south has some moguls, it needed a little TLC. I set the shoulder blades deeper than the center blades because I noticed the center of the trail was getting hollowed out and wanted to level the trail. The snow is carried from the shoulder cutters to the center of the groomer and the snow is dumped more toward the center of the trail leveling it out a bit. When I built the groomer I put two cutters on the right side and only one on the left side, so you get a better cut on the right side when adjusted to go deeper. Speed was 12 km/h

    Re: Videos of grooming

Ok no video yet but I have a pic. Don updated our Scandic to make it a bit more ridable when colder out. By now all of you should know that grooming works best when it is colder and the trail has time to set. This upgrade helps us groom when colder. I may not be real pretty but it works.
