Anyone riding a camso kit yet? Thoughts on performance and reliability? Looking at maybe buying one. Quite a bit cheaper then timber sled and yeti.

my boss rides one, he likes that it sits lower so you can tripod easier across the parking lot..haha..just kidding, the curved track handles really good and the ski is fairly aggressive on packed snow..we spent an afternoon installing a homemade spare gas system, works good..

One of the dealerships here sells a **** load of them, but I have yet to see one on the hill… Not sure what that means.

Means it's early. I'm in no hurry to ride mine with the low snow we have right now. Might put it together this weekend though.

That's a question you guys could answer for me. Why are these bikes so tall at the seat? From what I have seen everyone is on tippi toes.lol. Makes me nervous to sit on one.

Ya, all makes pretty tall. I demo'd a yeti last year. Had a bit of an oops when i brought it back and parked it in the row next to the others. When I went to put my feet down both of my pant legs hooked on the pegs. Knocked over all 3 bikes. About 50 people at the cabin just howling laughing. Aparently I was the 3rd guy to do that in the same day. Felt like a real winner lol

It's just the design of most kits. In order to maximize suspension travel the attachment point to the bike ends up high. My Camso is the same as stock wheel height on my bike. Little less travel though. Putting your feet down is pretty much a waste of time in snow anyway. Just about guarantees the bike is going to fall over. Just leave 'em on the pegs when you stop.

So you just don't stop where you feel like it with short legs . LOL Park right between 2 sleds and they will hold you up so ya don't fall on them. I have made guys scramble to keep me upright.

Nah, just keep your feet on the pegs when you stop. If the snow is flat the bike just sits there. Gotta pick your spot a little bit, but not that big a deal.

Back to the original post. My son road a Camso for a bit today. He likes it way better than his Timbersled. Really impressed with both the track and the ski. Guess I better lock mine up!

how does the extra weight feel? I rode a Yeti kit after a TS and noticed the weight/efficiency differences pretty quickly

Awesome, good to hear positive things on an entry level product. Makes sense that Cat will use it on theirs if it works as well as a TS/Yeti

I had a Yeti nosed into a tree well, put it in neutral, got off, and wheeled back the track in reverse by hand with little effort. Came right out of the hole!

I seen a post on instagram. The spring in the back needs trimmed or it can cut into the track when sude hilling if the track is a little loose
