Any word if they'll be offering a swingarm style pivot like yeti RSS or tsled TSS?

Well I've ridden mine a few times now and can share my opinions. I had a Timbersled last year and switched to Camso this year for the center rail design. That was all hype. I can't really say I notice much of a difference if any. The track is awesome though. Hooks up way better than my TS did. The ski sucks. The TS ski sucked too. Both tend to wash out. Gonna find a way to make my Yeti ski fit it for next year. Rides a little rougher in the moguls than the TS did, but I basically haven't touched the suspension adjustment yet. Have to see what I can do there. Gearing is spot on out of the box for my bike. Had to re-gear the TS to be happy. Installation on both is pretty much identical. Single biggest thing for a short old guy like me is the stock seat height of the Camso compared to the tall TS. For this alone the Camso wins hands down for me. Other than that....they both work great in snow, and they both suck on a packed trail. Neither one seems to be better than the other in that regard. The Camso wins for seat height and price point.

Edit: Just to clarify.....both kits were on the same bike, so a pretty balanced comparison.

Nice to hear good things, I am fairly certain Camso will be the way for me because the price is nice, especially at dealer cost. I cant wait to get into this sport. Been watching on the sidelines for a few years now and am horny to get out there.

I would hold off on the Camso for 1 more year. A couple of friends of mine were test riders on them this year. I have never seen kits more rat-bagged and jury rigged than theirs. Track is amazing though.

After riding a Yeti for a year, felt like swinging a leg over a tractor. Or something built in the Soviet Union back in the good old commie days.

Now - I will qualify my answer with the fact that these kits had 70 - 80 days on them this year.

Not really fair to compare a Camso to a Yeti. At barely more than half the cost of a Yeti, Camso is entry level and works well for what it is. Just what this sport needed really.

I did hear that Camso has some changes coming this winter. A yeti would be the dream, but with a wife and kid a guy has to prioritize his "needs"

Second winter now on my Camso and I have to say......I hate that friggin ski! Seriously, absolutely hate it! Never had anything wash out on me so bad. I can not trust this ski in any snow condition. Ever! Really want my old Yeti ski back. Camso, now that you own Yeti could you just put that ski on the DTS129 and be done with it. And offer a mount kit so I can put one on mine.

Have I mentioned I seriously hate that ski?

yes get that yeti ski on that camso kit and you will be laughing. yeti ski will hold the trail even when bars are almost dragging taking the corners in fifth. the camso track does work better than my 2016 yeti. hooks up better. will have to bite the bullet and update track eventually.

Oh I know. I had one on my TS kit. Will be a lot of work to modify the Camso spindle though. My latest complaint wasn't even trail riding. I expect it to suck there. Last weekend we unloaded 40 ft from 6' of snow that has been untracked all winter. Probably 18" of fresh on top of a very good snowpack, not a slippery crust layer.. Should be the most awesome snowbike day ever! And it was, but suffering washouts all day gets a little old.
