Anyone know if there where any changes between e-modules between 2008 and 2012?? My frame fix only lasted for 7 days riding, noticed they sell just the PTO side frame member seperately and to my luck it is beefier than the 08 one i cracked. Do mechanic says they should be the same, jsut wondering if anyone else has a word of the wise on this?

Not sure but the E-module I just replaced on an 08 - is alot beefier - Think BRP made them stronger due to the problems they were having with them.

well i will update tommorrow. I just got my 2012 LH (PTO) side frame cradle. Compared to the 08 version they look identical with the adition of a couple extra holes in the 2012 version. As well beef wise, right about the a-arm mount is stronger but the webbing itself is not any thicker. It is nice to see seperate part numbers for individual pieces now instead of buying a whole 380 unit which i would rip apart. will update tommorrow with pics, should actually have the new one installed fully by tommorrow if all goes well.

Not sure if anyone care but yes the 2012 frame member fits in my 2008. Completed the hole install with the secondary clutch in place and the carbs are still in place. All 4 engine mount bolts have been removed to slid engine around as need. Just the member was $180, and awhile module assembly i think was around $370?? I am not 100% finished yet, but this is about a lazy 8 hour job if you have a air chisel, multiple other hand chisel, some hammers, drill, basic set of wrenches, and beer:beer:

New 2012 unit. Notice they removed one hole down low. Webbed it in a little more than the 08 version, especially the wrap around point just below the back motor mount. As well on the back motor mount one hole has been moved down, but the tunnel already has a provision to use this hole.

Thats good to know - unfortunately the one i just did was too bent up - had to replace as assembly! so far I probably its around 25 hrs for replacement. Found bolts at gregs distributing - alot cheaper than dealer - and rivets at Mattic supply!

I know this is a very old post but I would like to thank you for the pictures and explaining the job. I just bought a 08 summit and it has the same issue. Too bad I did not know that before I bought it. Now I need a left hand brace if anyone has a sled they have parted.
