naw just put it straight over the aluminum. i have yet to do a good test on it but i'll be sure to let ya know. it was too hot to touch after ripping around my back yard.

Well I decided to give it another chance.

When I tried it first, it was -25 and lots of fluff.

I since then closed that triangular vent hole with some black plastic,

It was much warmer this weekend.

SUCESS!! It heated right up, not sizzling hot, but it did pretty good. That spot is good if you don't want to burn your food. I threw some Quesadillas from a doggybag of the night before,and it was awesome. no foil, this time, but the wings were great!
