My brothers 2008 xp tail light stopped working. The bulb is good! Any one have any ideas on where to go next? Thanks in advance.

Follow the wiring to the plug under the seat and look for power there. Could be a bad microswitch as well. (brake lever switch)

its not the micro switch, checked that. is that conection under the tank?

I can check in the morning for you. The wire goes under that center moulding on the tunnel and under the seat. There may be a connection at the front of the tank under the airbox. Pull the airbox out and check. Just not sure right now. Can't remember. Lol.

The connection is under the tank. You have to take off plastic, gauge, and headlight assembly. Undo braces at steering post that go back to tunnel at fuel tank. Fuel line should be long enough to let you lift tank up to get to connection. If you go this far its a good idea to look at bottom of tank and top of coolers. There will be some wear on your coolers, inspect just in case.
