1 Etec topend rebuilt now onto another problem with another one

Changed my plugs and my rave valve check valve manifold. Can’t test my rave valve issue down low, going to need to make a trip for that but ran a few laps around the yard to warm her up and still hunted rpm at idle warm. Just about to bring back in the shop and engine light came on. P1428 and 1429 codes come up(basically bad tuned pipe sensor). Just replaced that this morning and again ran around yard to warm up. No more codes and idles better at temp. Going into reverse it still stumbles once in awhile tho

Ring gear on the primary ?

No it is off. Was right from new tho. 6000km ago. Started this around 5200-5400km?

If compression is getting even a little bit weak it makes a difference with reverse.
I would check the crank as well for run out with that many kms ?

Crank off kilter?? Violent belt explosion might cause that! I had a tool off the clutch cover create an off balanced crank

Same symptoms? Do you remember what your run out was? I believe spec is 0.0024. I actually had the same thing happen. Tool off the cover went through my clutch not too long after the new motor. Didn’t think it would have mess with the crank though. Just replaced the clutch and kept going

Not sure on run out but was running rough which would create reverse stalling I'm sure.
