Anyone ever have to replace a speedo/gauge cluster on an XM? I smashed the screen on mine and am having a really tough time finding a used one. Dealer wants a fortune new.

Looking at part numbers they’re almost all different... does that mean even if I found a used one it might not work? Ie mine’s a 2013 summit X, so a 2015 summit sp won’t work?

My other thought is it looks like the screen can be removed and solder in the two wires from a new screen. I found one on eBay that doesn’t work but the screen should be ok... maybe I could cobble the two together?

Pretty sure they are all transferrable you just have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed to the sled afterward. Some have More options then others like altitudes and such. I think one of my xm units has a cluster out of an xp.

Ah good to know! The XP and XM ones do look the same in pics so I had wondered that. Opens up a couple more options for used. But still pricey.
Now to decide if I gamble on the cheap one and frankenstein my original or get a used XP one

Hey Aaron, do you know if it’s a BUDS calibration thing or what? I found a used cluster, identical to mine just off a 2014 vs my 2013. Everything lights up when I start the sled but after the startup procedure the dash part goes blank. Tach and speedo work fine though. Dealer kinda looked at me like I had two heads when I said I need them to program it to my sled. Although by the end of the conversation I was a little more confident. Hoping this is somewhat standard operation for the doo techs...
