Hey so got a 2015 800 T3 163”. I have been looking into get a clutch kit from I back shift. Only thing kinda holding me back is the fact that I ride low and high elevation and it seems to be a pain in the ass to switch out pin weight removing primary every time. I guess what I am asking is the gains that you get from the kit worth having to switch weight all the time? And anybody’s experience with them. Much of a difference? TIA

I've got the DJ kit in a 174" t3 - you should be fine to do elevation changes as long as you have quick clickers - I went with a different primary spring and pin weight than what he recommends

Never had one on a t3 but had it on my 14 xm 163. I set the pin weight so the rpms were bang on at clicker #3 at elevation. Then riding around home #1 was good.

Just installed a kit myself as well as quick clickers in my 2015. i set the pin weight to 15.3 grams and rpm is sitting at 8100 right now at home so it should hopefully be right around 7900 at elevation. Going to get my testing done this weekend. And adjust once I get back if needed. Clickers will handle it otherwise I’m sure.

You would need to adjust for high/low elevation with stock clutching too so that shouldn't really be your holdback.

Been using is kits in the last two sleds. Have a bastardized one in the XM turbo right now and it performs well. I wouldn't hesitate. Get quick clickers if you don't already have them.

Where did you see the improvement torque? track speed?
torque is improved in the bottom end, and keeps track speed upon the top end. Dosnt seem to trench as bad since it’s a nice and smooth power delivery.
