Weirdest thing i've seen so far on this sled. A few weekends ago I noticed the rear suspension was bottoming out a lot while riding on the trail and out playing in the steep and deep. So i take a peak under the sled on Saturday and sure enough, I found that the rear shock was just hanging off the top mount and the rocker where it attches to on the bottom was broken off on one side. I also noticed that the long aluminum rods, which Ski Doo calls accelerations (?) were bent. I'm surprised that nothing else broke since I was riding this thing pretty hard the last few weeks. Anyone have anything like this happen to them?

Yeah I have broken those before. They are built pretty flimsy.

have any pics?

i havent broke one yet but If you've ever had a T motion skid out of the sled and moved it side to side you can tell its not the greatest design. That piece will only get weaker with miles. it flexes to accommodate for the t motion rather than having some sort of built in povit. Weak point IMO surprised i haven't seen more fail

No pics but i have the part pulled and will take some tonight. I've never pulled the skid and hope to never have too. This rocker broke off on one side and took the hardware, bushings, cushions, and axle bar with it.

Did you have any other damage other than a broken rocker?

I have broke these skids at least 50 times.
Sometimes you stab a track or bend shocks ext.
(I have lots of pics too) I got a fabricator to beef the the whole skid up for me and haven't had problems since.

I meant when you broke the rocker was there any other damage? Sorry, wasn't clear on that.

Probably, don't remember every single time some thing broke.

Why do you ask?

Just curious, was wondering about any major damage it may have caused.

It can get ugly quick, but some times you get lucky. Bent shock or stabbed track is the most $$$ thing that happens.
