I took it off to inspect and saw this. Is this on its last legs?

I'd run that for another 1000 or so km,.. but it won't fit on my Axys. If you throw it away let everyone know so they can go grab it as a spare.

Its gonna bite you when you need it most. Keep it for a spare if you need a belt to get you off the hill.

The best spare is a properly broken in one, you'll probably be in a nasty hole when yours blows... hard on a new spare right out of the gate

That's what I've always done. Take a long ride into a place like silent pass where you can really tune a belt in and get it set up nice then throw it in the case for your spare. I usually break in about 3 and leave em in the trailer just in case you end up with a bad weekend. Noticed a big difference in belt life doing em that way.

Just swap them out. For the time it takes, throw your spare on for the trail up, swap it out, then again swap it out and head down. Done, now your spare is ready to go, cuz when the time comes to actually use it, your gonna be in some bottomless pit, and there aint no taking it easy on a new belt at that point.
