15 t3 163 clutch kit suggestions

Hey guys. Im looking for some info or to be pointed in the rite direction for clutching on my stock 163 t3. I have a DJ clutch kit in it now and i gotta say im not happy with it really. It got god awful heavy springs in it, and it seems quite lazy.
Any help would be appreciated

Change the secondary back to stock 40 degree helix and use the doo secondary spring to the ending in 039. Change ramps to 441. Adjust pin weight to use clicker 2 @7900-7950. Enjoy!
I don't like the engine braking of the 441 ramps, prefer 438 or DJ mountain.

ok so keep the dj mountain ramp in there... but switch back to stock everything else?
the secondary spring he recommends isn't a stock blue it's the one stiffer black spring. Mandatory upgrade for any summit 2013- current.

Leave stock clutching in, and go down to a 19 tooth top sprocket.

^^^^ This. 441 is garbage, makes a whole lot of noise but doesn't do much of anything.

We have had the opposite experience. I tried Dj mountain ramps, 438's and 441 extensively and 441 works best for me. Prolly works 15% better than others. Maybe we have different secondary setups..
Now that we have mountainsledmania completely confused, our job here is done.

Call Darrel Baker in Calgary, I've got his kit in my 16' T3 and it works good. 403-254-8686
It also uses the stock helix.

With etec I tried all sorts of ramps and ended up back to the 441.
Different secondary set up thou with light weights.
DJ ramps worked awesome on the ptec though but wouldn’t load the engine hard enough on the etec.

what about primary spring?

I recommend to go with the stock primary spring. I don't know the part number or specs.
It's good to stay as close to baseline stock as possible when troubleshooting clutch issues. When you get it figured out on close to stock settings, then you can add other clutch performance things if you feel it's needed. The goal is to get it to perform reliably and then fine tune and spice it to your individual taste.

I'm gonna try dynamo Joe's turbo clutch kit and 2.65 gearing on a 2015 174 turbo - been talking to David Sebelius quite a bit lately the guy is really smart with the xm's been more help than anyone else I've talked to - also gonna try Shelbourne fuel additive - I'm thinking it's gonna be a good combo

I also seen a dude at eagles that was running an xm 174 with a mountain magic wrap and aerocharger side mount - he was rocking a polaris primary and a custom jackshaft with a team secondary - he said it worked amazing on 11lbs of boost - he also mounted his aerocharger sideways with inlet pointed vertical was pretty cool setup

Or get a primary spring with the same finish force as stock but a lower start to lower your engagement. Have always had better luck with lower engagement.
