I’m running a 2013 Summit X 163”. I understand that it is not designed for running fast on groomed trails but I get a pretty noticeable vibration at 80k+. No vibration once I’m up in the snow, can’t notice any visible play on the secondary or the driveshaft bearings. Any ideas? Would a bent drive shaft vibrate only at certain speeds?

Where do you feel the vibration? Footwells, running boards, handlebars?
Could be a driver shaft with a slight bend in it but you would most likely feel it in deep snow when your track speed is up there. You should also check your engine mounts. Make sure they didn’t loosen up or are cracked/broken.

How about snow in the tunnel melted rubbing on the track

If it was track shaft would vibrate anytime

Also swap out the belt and rule the hour glass on the drive belt out

I switched out the belt. Feel it through my feet not the bars. Had the chain case open for a service and everything seemed tight and correct. Thanks for the input. Hoping to figure out the problem before I spend a bunch of money!

When I bent my driver shaft you definitely could feel the vibration worse going down the trail at a constant speed, not as much up on the mountain.

I had two of the bolts on the back of my secondary come loose causing the two halves to run uneven and vibrate foot and handle bars. Easy to see running with belt guard off.

Friends 13 XM did the same, no idea how the driver bent. Thought it was nothing until the gears/chain/bearings died...

My cousin has one. 2016 174 t3 with 1100 miles but we plan on taking it for a ride tomorrow so it will be more when he sells it. I think he has it listed for 8500 firm. Located in Airdrie. Send me a pm if you want more info and pics.
