Yes but if you havent had a issue with the 391 stick with it. The 850 belt is harder and you may have to add weight to get your belt grip back.

Ski Doo race belt for thos who don't know. Softer compound. I am running the 391...my riding partner(Oler1234) swears by this belt and ran it last year as well. when I need a new one, I will go with this one too

im not sure about the gates carbon belt as of yet. i had one blow on the turbo xm with like not even 100 km. and no real signs of issues other then the clutches are a little bit warmer then id like them to be. and i broke it in like they suggested

What is the advantage of a softer belt?

well i have a silber 850, a boost it xm, and a stock xm with Dj kit. so all are very diff from factory. but either way you go. theres a chance you will need to change pin weight to get you desired rpms at clicker 3.. carlisle xs 821 is good. gates carbon c12 is supposed to be good ( but i blew one with not even 100km) i ran the xs 821 ib my stocker. and so far im happy

425 is on the turbo. And I ran it all last year as a NA setup. 425 provides consistent rpms without spikes. A little clutching is required to keep heat under control. Let it get hot and she gets soft and spongy and inconsistent. Basically just make sure your achieving 1:1 on the clutch’s for full throttle pulls or close to and you’ll be fine.

288 is the old race belt. I used to run them. They worked great. Took the heat like a champ. You could still blow them to pieces if you tried but took awhile lol.

I tried 425. It made 400 km and was in pieces. Granted it had a very hard life- from 100% break in to 0 in under 300 km
Been running the 391 since with no changes and over 600 kms on it.

The 288 is a bit narrower as well.
A good belt but won’t give you much adjusting for belt deflection on the newer sleds .
Wears a little bit and can’t adjust
