Folks, I want to make a tool to keep the upper gear and sealing washer in place while removing the secondary shaft.
I'm thinking a piece of stock turned to just under the OD of the shaft as it fits into the bearing. Also turn the end into a threaded stud same threads as the upper gear retaining bolt.
Here's the problem. I'm not anywhere near my sled.
Anybody have there shaft out?
And can get me some measurements?
Or, other suggestions? I tried using a socket and extension but that didn't work too well for me.

I use 4 different length of bolts, 2 out of 4 bolts at a time

And let spring and stuff out with shaft in sled

Then reverse the procedure to install till u have the original bolts x4 back in

.835 OD. Thank you.
Is the bolt M8 or M10?
